We want to have a doula but don't know anyone in the area (Northern VA / DC) who has used one, so we don't have any recommendations to go on. How did you find your doula? Are there any doula finding resources out there?

"The Birth Partner" gave a list of resources for finding a doula. This is one that I remember reading about, international doula association - I haven't actually used it.

I'm in southern MD (60 miles from DC) and I'm using the doula that is teachIng my natural birth classes.
