Um he was SHOCKED because I'd been the one who'd been holding us off since I didn't feel ready yet (at 5 months PP haha) but SO happy!!
Someone at work had just asked him that day if he was ready to have more and he'd said that he totally was and couldn't wait...that we were just waiting because of me lol. Surprise!

@Adira: wait.... What?! You're pregnant! Congrats!
Hubs was pretty surprised (as was I). I don't remember what he said tho.

I didn't even tell him for almost 48 hours I was so shocked. When I did tell him be was like "really. Really," he was excited but we were both sooooo shocked.

Well, we weren't trying so we were both shocked. I sent him a picture of the positive pregnancy test and I think his text back was "what?!?! We're having another baby!? We're adding to our clan! "
I was still nervous though because I thought he was just saying that to lighten the situation since I was only 4.5 months PP. However, he got home and had a big smile on his face and gave me a big hug and kiss...that's when I knew he was really truly happy

We were NTNP but not expecting anything so soon. I told him I was testing because I was late, having pregnancy symptoms, and he got all excited and wanted to come in with me, but I told him no, don't get excited, I'm sure it'll be negative. He then went to put DD down for a nap. I came running in with the test and it took him a few solid seconds to figure out why i was there (I couldn't speak out of shock) and then his eyes went wide! After DD was down, we just had to process the surprise and the fact that we'd have 2 under 2! But then we had the miscarriage, so I expect BFP #3 will be one of cautious optimism.

i let LO#1 show him the pee stick, his first words were, "is that used?" then 5 seconds later, "wait, are you pregnant??". i'm guessing he initially thought i was just letting her play with pee sticks??
ETA: he was excited tho, it happened alot faster the second time around, and he predicted that would happen so i don't think he was completely shocked.

Men can be so funny about this stuff. My husband was really excited and amazed with #1 which was a total surprise and i think he will also be very happy about #2 but maybe a bit nervous as well which is what i think your husband is feeling. They both knew what they were doing though!!! Congrats again and I am very excited and hopeful to join you in December. When i do I can tell you how the reveal goes. hahahah

We won't try for #2 until we are both 100% wanting and excited about the prospect of another baby so I would expect his reaction would be very happy.

Shock and disbelief. We had planned on TTC a month later but at the last minute (and what we thought was too late because I already had my ovulation cramps) we decided to give it a go that night. He made me take another pregnancy test because he didn't believe my first one was accurate.
And after he knew it was real he was excited

DH asked me "Is it mine?"
He was being funny but we dealt with MFI and needed IVF for #1 and #2 happened on its own!

Mine was super excited and grinning ear to ear because he really wanted #2.

With our second, he was nervous but excited (we were closing on our house within weeks and it was overall a crazy time). With our third, he was ecstatic.
