LO gets expressed breastmilk by bottle and we are trying to find a balance between offering enough but not being wasteful. Some feedings he'll eat 75cc, sometimes he'll eat 45cc, other times, it's 60cc. He doesn't have a pattern (we write down how much we offered, what he left in the bottle, what he ate, and if there were any extenuating circumstances like if he had hiccups) so we just offer whatever his current max is (the most he's ever taken in a feeding) which results in some wasted breastmilk, though it gives him the opportunity to take in all the calories he wants (he was born at 35.5 weeks and is eating fortified breast milk to ensure he gains appropriately).

How do you decide how much to put in a bottle? We don't re-refrigerate what's been heated up so once it goes into the bottle, it either goes in LO or goes down the sink.
