I have a small cooler bag in the diaper bag now, but it takes up a lot of space and I am trying to downsize the diaper bag.

How about a small thermos? They can keep warm and cold and one with a wide mouth should make cleaning easy. There are even some dishwasher safe ones.

our kids always liked warm milk so i would heat it up and keep it in a thermos.
for cold milk, i would just use an ice pack.

I don't. We mostly travel with water and I will get DD milk in restaurants, at Starbucks, etc. In a pinch, I like the Horizon milk boxes that don't have to be refrigerated.
For traveling to and from childcare, I just use an insulated lunch bag.

I usually just throw an empty sippy cup in the diaper bag and order milk at a restaurant while we're out and about.

@mrsjyw: That is what we have now. I think it is designed to hold two bottles.

I haven't had to take milk on the go yet either. But if I did, I would probably get one of those insulated cups!

@locavore_mama: @dolphin: Do you just offer with meals then? If we go to family's member house all day, we have to bring milk cause they don't drink whole milk.

@Smurfette: I offer her milk with meals, morning wake-up and bedtime. We're in the process of bottle weaning so she doesn't really drink much with her meals. This morning she drank 2oz from a straw cup! If we're out during mealtime I just give her water. But if I were to spend a full day at someone house I would bring my own milk and see if I can store in their fridge.

@dolphin: Duh! The fridge, that wasn't my best scenario to give, I guess. haha! Although I do worry about keeping it cool in the car. So hot here in the summer.
Good luck with the weaning! We got super lucky and R was good with cold turkey.

I was curious about this as well. We aren't terribly successful with bottle weaning yet so she still wants a bottle of milk (stopped formula over the weekend) every 5 hours or so.

@lavender: ditto... but we just go to starbucks, McDs or really any fast food restaurant with a drive thru. We rarely had to do this ... because we try not to go out that long.

I have a Foogo but haven't used it yet (it doesn't have handles so E won't take to it yet). We're doing goat milk, so i can't just order her milk.
Still looking for good options!

I always carry a separate small cooler bag, like a cross body style, with an ice pack in it. I keep her snacks in it too. I plan on getting a thermos bottle once she drinks whole milk (next month), yikes!!!!! Time flies.

@Smurfette: yeah, if we're going out then I'll just ask for milk at restaurants. I've never been charged before. Or if we're going over to my ILs then for the one meal I just give her whatever milk they have.

We use the Foogo in an insulated lunch bag with an ice pack. It really keeps milk cold, especially if you chill the Foogo beforehand.
