My LO, who is now 1 yrs and 4 weeks, seems to be acting very off and more fussy than usual. The only new thing we've introduced is cow's milk. We did a gradual process of formula and breastmilk plus cow's milk. Now it's mostly cow's milk and like 1/4 formula. He's not having diarhea and I'm not noticing any increase in gas. Are there any signs I'm missing?

Since your LO is older, I would suggest removing the dairy for a week and then reintroducing it and see if you notice the same symptoms. If you notice them after reintroduction I would be more inclined to think dairy was an issue for him.
LO reacted to it from day one in my breastmilk. He had projectile vomit, fussy as if from pain, colic, reflux symptoms, mucus in his stools and eventually blood. He also had some eczema and persistent baby acne. It was a nightmare!

@anbanan15: thanks for your advice. My LO had silent reflux and has eczema, but he seemed to be okay with cow's milk. Your poor LO--what does he take now?

He drinks breastmilk from our freezer stash and EO28 Splash which is like a prescription elemental formula. He is 22 months. He reacted to all the other milk alternatives we tried, as as well as a ton of other stuff, so options are few.

My son sees a GI specialist for dairy intolerance. We're starting to reintroduce some dairy soon -- around 10 months -- GI doc says we will know if there is a reaction by blood in stool, vomiting, mucousy poop, or increased fussiness. I don't know how fussy is too fussy though!
