My LO is 20 months, he nurses once a day after his nap. I have noticed recently he doesn't immediately want to nurse when he wakes up like he used to. He doesn't point to his chair where we usually nurse and he used to get super upset if I tried to take him out of his room without nursing but now he'll just run to his toys.
I feel like if I did the "don't offer don't refuse" and distracted him he would probably wean pretty easily but I am not sure if it's the right thing to do. I would be happy if he weaned himself when he was ready but he is my last baby and I'll be so sad when we're done!
Should I continue nursing once a day until he refuses or take advantage of doing now because it will probably be pretty easy? If you were down to once a day, did you have any weaning issues (engorgement, hormonal, etc.)?
