Ms. Fairy Wings' blog post made me wonder-- how far do you drive to get to your daycare from your house? We want to move soon but there's not much in terms of available rentals in our town, and I'm not sure how far we should move from our daycare center.

It really depends on what time we leave and the traffic but....the daycare we are moving her to in November is 30 minutes without traffic. It's also right across the street from my work, though.

ours is right down the street from our town center... without traffic, less than 5 mins away!

7 minutes in the morning (no traffic)
10 minutes or so in the evenings.
From daycare I have about a 20-30 minute drive to work.

We decided to go with a daycare that's right near our house (~10 minutes) because Hubs and I work in opposite directions, so there's nowhere that would be convenient in between us. Otherwise we might've gone with a daycare that's closer to where we work.

Ours is 15 minutes from our house. Daycare is 45 minutes from work.

We're looking for daycare near my job, because there are no infant daycares whatsoever near our home. So the daycare will be about 20-30 minutes from home, but 10-15 minutes from my office.

About 15 minutes. I like it because it is very close to where I work, so I can rush there if they need me

a block and a half. it is awesome to have it so close. we take our time walking to school every day, going on acorn hunts, pumpkin hunts, christmas tree hunts. and i can dash right over whenever i forget something or when charlie is sick!

Ours is a 25 minute drive from the house but less than 5 minutes from my work. I purposely chose to have my son near me at work rather than near home because if an issue crops up, I wouldn't have to drive all the way home in order to get to him. This is also something that helped us select where our pediatrician was (near work, not near home).

Its about 15 minutes away from home depending on traffic. My work is about 25 minutes away, longer during commute hours. But my husband works in the area of the daycare so if something happens he can be there relatively quickly.

It's about 2 blocks and close to the train. I'm so excited for this one! I love the day care itself but I have to admit that it's close proximity is one of the reasons we chose them.

Ours is about a mile- its right outside of our neighborhood on our way to and from work. Its super convienent.
