I'm gone around 9 hours a day for work and LO (14 weeks) bottle feeds about 15oz while i'm gone. Just wondering what everyone else's LOs eat while they are at work!

LO is 7 weeks old. I'm away for about 9 hours and LO takes about 14 oz of BM while I'm away (4 bottles at 3.5 oz each).

My LO takes 12 oz, but she's only gone for about 7 hours (DH drops her off and I pick her up)

DS is 18 weeks and it varies. I'm gone 8-12 hours, usually LO nurses 1-2x a day and gets 3-4 bottles, ranging from 4-14 oz. (Yes, that's 14 oz in one feeding... that was yesterday and thank god I pumped a lot on maternity leave!)

I'm gone for about 8 hours & it usually works out to be about 3 feedings for her. She eats 5-5.5 ounces per feeding! I pump about that same amount while at work--sometimes more, sometimes less.
Oh--she is 20 weeks today (totally didn't realize that until I went to look at the calendar, aww).

He takes three bottles of about 4.5 oz while I'm gone (for 8 hours). He's 4 months old. I nurse at 6am, then he gets bottles around 9, 12, and 3. We nurse again at 5:45 and 8:45 before bed.

She is 11 months and takes about 8-12 ounces in about 8 hours. Her BM consumption went down when her solid intake went up.

@Pirouette: My older DS was doing 8-12 oz bottles and I thought that was a lot... guess little bro wants to top him
@lilteacherbee: 4.5oz! Jealous!

I SAH but about once a week she hangs out with my mom for the day for anywhere from 4 to 6 hours & she has about 12 to 18 oz at 6.5 months. I think she eats more from the bottle than she does when she nurses.

I'm gone from 8-5 normally and he eats 15 oz, 3-5oz bottles. He's 6 months now but has ate this much since 3 months or so

At 6 months I'm gone from 7-4 (including some travel) and he usually eats 15oz (3 bottles). I pump about 7-8 on average while I'm gone, but I've been sick and having other troubles so recently it hasn't been that much

When my LO was around that age I was gone 9-10h (once a weeek) and he took 13-18oz of BM, depending on whether I'd be home for the 5pm/5:30pm feed. So it was 3-4 feedings.

My DD is a couple weeks older than yours (17 weeks tomorrow!) and since she started daycare, our schedule has been roughly:
7:30 - nurse before we leave home
10:00 - 3.5 oz bottle
12:30 - nurse
2:30 - 3.5 oz bottle
5:00 - 3.5 oz bottle (or nurse if I get home early enough)
7:00 - nurse at bedtime
So assuming she gets about the same amount from me that she drinks in each bottle, that's around 14 oz per workday, not counting the morning and bedtime feeds. I've just started making a couple of 4 oz bottles, though, because DH said she seemed like she was annoyed that the bottle was out when he was feeding her the past couple afternoons. So depending on whether she eats those whole bottles, it might be closer to 15 oz total now.

@PurplePeony: I'm so jealous you get to nurse at lunch! she probably eats just about the same amount, but my LO does larger bottles in the morning and smaller in the afternoon. she'll start the day with 2 5oz bottles and then taper down towards the end of the day. it's actually super convenient because we don't waste any milk (her 5pm bottle right before i get home is usually 2-2.5oz). so you could try varying the amounts so you don't waste any - though if she's wanting more in the afternoon it may not help!

@Pirouette: I don't know WHAT she wants right now! She's teething and going through the 4-month sleep regression so she's been all over the place for the past few days. We were down to one wake-up to nurse at night but now it's back to 2-3. So I honestly have no idea how much she's actually eating per day, or what it'll be once this phase is over (fingers crossed that's soon).

@PurplePeony: i hear you! my girl has always been an amazing sleep-through-the night sleeper, and she's started waking up too. she's definitely teething and not happy about it actually it was kinda why i started this thread - she ate a bit less during the day yesterday because of teething and i was wondering if that was what caused her night waking..and then i realized i didn't know how much food was typical during the day.

DS is 6 months old. I'm gone 11 hours and I leave 12 oz of milk. 2 oz to be mixed with his oatmeal and fruit for breakfast, then he gets another 5 oz after his first nap, and then he gets another 5 oz bottle and 3 oz of veggies after his second nap. He doesn't always finish his bottles. I'm home in time for his last feeding before bed.
