I haven't pumped or nursed in a week but I woke up to my right side being engorged so I had to pump. How long did it take you to dry up once you decided to stop?

It took me a long long time. I stopped when lo was a newborn because we were having some major issues, but we still did skin to skin. I swear my body still knew that lo was on my skin and thought she was supposed to be breastfeeding and wouldn't dry up until I stopped doing skin to skin.

Maybe 2 weeks? I put cabbage on my boobs to help dry them up.

It was pretty much right away but I'm pregnant. LO probably wasn't getting enough before I weaned!

It was probably two weeks to go back to my normal size but I wasn't engorged since I had cut down to one feeding a day before quitting.

Oh really?? You'd still get engorged even after 1 week of no pumping?
I am still pumping 2 times a day but down to 5-6 oz total a day now... sometimes so little would come out (2 oz after 15 mins) I'd think if I stop now, I'd be completely fine! Guess I am wrong....
