If your LO slept in your room as a newborn, how long did they sleep in there for? What made you decide to switch them to their own room?

about 10 weeks. I was just reading to have our room back and get him start learning to sleep in his bed. Also I woke constantly when he would make little noises and he was NOISY.

Five months when she outgrew the co-sleeper. DH would still have her in our room now (14.5 months) but I prefer her in her room.

5.5 months, in our bed. We moved him then because our bed was too small to co-sleep long term, and we wanted it back. And we wanted him to have his own space and I was (sort of) over the paralyzing fear that something would happen if I wasn't right there, checking his breathing constantly.

She was there for almost 3 months. She didn't take to her crib in the beginning so she slept in our room until we gradually got her used to being in her own crib/room.

I'd add that if we have a 2nd, I'll probably switch to crib earlier, because we slept so much better with him not in the room.

I think we switched him to his own room at 8 weeks last time. I was nervous about having to walk to the other room for middle of the night wakeups but it worked out much better. He woke less without our movements and noises waking him. I'll probably switch around 4 weeks this time if the situation is similar.

7 months in her crib in our room. We moved her into her own room when we moved house. It wasn't really practical before then - the second bedroom in our old place was across the other side of the apartment and she was still getting up once or twice a night to nurse.

Uh, like a week. We moved her bassinet into her own room and we all got a better sleep !

In our room for 5 weeks, she slept right outside our room for another 5 weeks in the RNP (she was a loud sleeper and I didn't sleep at all with her in the room due to me always checkign on her.) We moved her to her crib at 10 weeks, to transition before I started back at work.

DS was about 5 months. He outgrew the little mini crib I had him in. I think LO will be out sooner though.

9-10w? We had just gotten back from a week away, and she was pretty noisy, decided then was the time to make the switch and it worked great for us.

2 days. We came home on a Saturday. By Monday night, he was in his own room.

3 1/2 months. She grunted and kicked the PNP mattress and it sounded like a wrestling match in our room. I couldn't take it anymore!

5.5 months> had been waking hourly since 4 month regression so we sleep trained into crib in his room
8 months> since 6 months he had started waking up more often to nurse just because he could; we tried every couple weeks to put him in the crib in the room with his brother, but no crying, at 8 months he finally agreed to sleep there no problem

DD was 9.5 months. We had been in a one bedroom but moved to a two bedroom. I think she would have been able to sleep better earlier if she had her own space, so we'll play it by ear with LO2 but plan to move him/her earlier.

Around 2.5 months. He is a loud sleeper, and we wanted him to get used to his crib.

4 months, but I will probably move this baby to his or her own room much sooner this time. Much better sleep for everyone!

10 weeks. We moved her because DH's snoring and general not-going-out-of-his-way-to-be-quiet when we went up to bed kept waking her and it was really affecting our relationship (I was getting so mad!). His snoring still wakes her sometimes from across the hall but it's much better.

7 months and we only moved her then because dh's alarm would wake her. Will do the same amount of time for future babies.

3/4 months in the pack and play, and then we started co-sleeping. I can't remember exactly when LO went to his own room, but it was after at least 3 months of co-sleeping. That's what worked best for our family!

He was in his crib in our room from week1 to about 7.5 months. Then he moved to his room.

4 weeks for #1 (we were ready for our space back) and #2 slept in her room since the first night home!

she slept in our room in a basinette until she was 4 months old. We decided to put her into her own room one night as I had cleaned the ensuite really well and it kind of smelt chemically in our bedroom. She didn't have any problems with the transition
