I made it to about 9 months. I would have gone longer, but we got bed bugs, I ingested pesticides, and Charlie was allergic to my milk. It was madness.
This time around, I'm gonna try to make it to a year, but I have absolutely nothing against formula.

Surprisingly I made it to about 24/25 months. I had planned to stop around one year but we went a lot longer.

My daughter decided when she wanted to stop drinking breast milk at 9 months, my son on the other hand i stopped at 1 year.

my daughter is 8 months and still nursing. i'm planning on going until a year, but hope to nurse in the morning/at bedtime until she self-weans.

i pumped for 4 months then quit because it was just too hard. i wasn't producing much and my daughter wasn't interested in bmilk at all. we ended up throwing all that frozen bmilk out because it had freezer burn. =(

my daughter's 5 1/2 months old and i'm still nursing her 95% of the time--we just introduced solids and she isn't too interested. i plan on nursing for at least a year.. ideally 2 years/until she decides she's done.

with my daughter, i pumped for 4.5 months before i couldn't take it anymore. this time around with my son (he's only 3 weeks now), i attempted to and gave up. the thought of juggling a 17 month old with day care pick up/drop off and pumping/nursing started to stress me out and decided not to forgo that route this time around. good thing too bc i know for sure i would not have produced enough.

i breastfed for a week before realizing my son was tongue tied - then i pumped for 10 weeks before weaning. i wish it came easy to us but it didn't and after i stopped stressing about things were so much better!

4 months or so. I was almost exclusively pumping (my son never got a good latch and never learned to be an efficient nurses), went back to work, everyone caught h1n1, then there was a staph infection and I hung up the horns. I still wish we'd made it longer.

Almost 6 months and still going strong. My goal is a year, then ideally at bedtime/morning for awhile longer.

We weaned RJ completely right around 7 months, mostly because he wasn't interested anymore. I continued to pump for a few weeks but then we traveled, I got sick and took decongestant, which is a lactation suppressant... no one told me! I went from pumping 16oz per session to 2oz per session so I basically stopped. Luckily I had enough frozen milk to give him one feeding a day until he turned 1 and we switched to cows milk. (He got formula for the other feedings. That was rough though.)

Ugh, I only made it 10 days. I had a really hard time. He just wouldn't latch correctly and it hurt worse than I ever imagined. I should have asked for more help. I will try again with my next baby. Luckily I have a very happy, healthy, formulas fed baby!

It's funny how things change once you have kids. My goal used to be a year... but not were at 13 months and still going strong. I don't pump at all so he gets morning and bedtime feed. Most days I visit daycare at lunch time but he's not always interested and usually he gets some before dinner too. On the weekends he'll still nurse 4-5 times. I'm hoping he continues for a while longer

breastfeeding was the hardest thing about having a baby for me! i thought about quitting every day for the first couple of months. i ended up making it to about 10 months, but only because max refused to take formula and would throw up, so we had to introduce it very very gradually. he did have pumped milk until one year!

I am still BFing Charlotte and she turned one today. I originally wanted to make it to six months. Now, I'm thinking 18 months. We'll see though!

We're at 16 months today I'd be happy to wean any day, but she is still really attached to her nighttime feedings. If I'm not around, she doesn't ask for it and is happy with food. But if I am, she loves the comfort of the boob.
On a more selfish note, if I'm able to keep my milk up until our new baby comes, I can breast feed our second too... Otherwise we'll have to do formula for the adopted baby.

I breastfeed exclusively for 5 months, and then did a combination of breastfeeding/pumping for 1 month. I would have gone a year, but I went back to work. Breastfeeding while working is really difficult to do. I'm planning to do it again this time around, but for longer if that is at all possible.

My oldest got 2 months, cause I didnt know how to bring in my milk supply and the hospital never offered me a pump or anything. my second 4 months but i had a lot of complications after her birth that also had me taking a lot of antibotics so most of the time i had to pump and dump, the baby got 6 months and as work got more demanding I just couldnt find the time to pump anymore. I never got the hang of breastfeeding so I always just pumped.

I nursed for a year.
I went back to work when my daughter was 3 months old and could never pump enough, so when she was at daycare, she was supplemented with some formula.
We kept that up until around her first birthday when I started to wean her. It was tough finding time in the work day to pump, and I felt that most of my time at home was spent nursing (instead of reading, playing, going for a walk, etc.).
She was weaned by 13 months, and it was sort of a relief to be able to focus on doing things other than nursing during the precious few hours I had with her when I was home from work.

We've made it to 5 months so far. I'm hoping to go as long as my son doesn't start biting like crazy since he already has two teeth and he's gotten to me already a few times!

12.5 months. My daughter never had a bottle so I needed to wean during the day by the time I went back to work at a year. I am in awe of those moms who went back to work early and still were able to maintain breastfeeding/pumping.

About 1 month, I was very proud of myself for making it that long. =) I won't bf with my next child though... I didn't have the best experience.

she's 9-months and i'm still breastfeeding. i'm shooting for a year or whenever she decides to self-wean. i went back to work a month ago, so i've been having to pump twice a day, but i still EBF her morning/night feedings.

Breastfeeding directly didn't work out with my LO, but I have been exclusively pumping since day 2. My original goal was to give him 3 months of breast milk, and now I'm about to hit my long term goal of 6 months (2 weeks shy). I would love to pump for a full year, but that is going to be tough. I'm a SAHM and finding time to feed, play, and pump is getting harder.

We are still going at almost 22 months, but mostly at morning, nap and bedtime. I never thought I would go this long, but I'm a hermit SAHM and I just never felt pressure to stop. If I don't conceive soon we might cut back even further (and then see what happens when I DO conceive) but honestly, the thought of stopping with no promise of the next little on the way kind of makes me sad.

Piper was.exclusively breastfed for 17-18 months. It helped that I got to bring her to work with me! She still.refuses to to drink cow's milk.

Only at 7 weeks so far, but it's really encouraging to read all the responses for extended periods of time! I'd love to bf for a year, but I'm nervous about my supply. My current goal is 4 months, then 6 months, then hopefully a year. Here's hoping!
