How long did you pump, and why did you decide to stop. I've been pumping for 5.5 months, and I'm always considering whether I should just stop. I feel like I need to schedule my days around my pump schedule. But, then I think of how expensive formula is and just continue pumping.

I pumped till LO was 13 months. But I basically hated it for many months after we figured out LO was MSPI and I had to cut dairy and soy from my diet. I was ready to switch to an elemental formula, but it was super expensive and LO just wouldn't ever take it.
At 13 months, I got LO switched over to hemp milk and pump weaned. I was super glad to get my boobs back.

8 months for LO 1 but I stopped when my supply decreased after a BFP. I had lots of pumped milk in my deep freezer but I also supplemented with one bottle of formula a day until 12 months because I wanted to stretch out my frozen supply.
I stopped around 13-14 months for LO 2. I went past 12 months because she was having issues with cow milk. I stopped pumping when we figured out she was lactose intolerant.

LO is almost 8 months old and I'm still pumping. I have to make it a priority at work, otherwise I get swept up in other things and forget to pump. A few weeks ago I was down to my last bag of milk from my freezer stash and freaked out that I'd have to start him on formula (which is fine, but it's my goal to EBF until 1). I made a priority to pump 3x a day at work and schedule it on to my calendar as "busy". It's a priority for me so I make it work. It's not easy, but it gets done -- including a lot of times during my commute
That being said, I look forward to the day I don't have to pump!

I pumped until Xander was 12 months and then I weaned off the pump so I was completely done by the time he was 13 months.

I pumped until E was a year old, then weaned from the pump and continued nursing at night. I kept going for a few reasons: formula is expensive, I felt like it was a way to alleviate some of my guilt over sending him to daycare so young, it was a challenge and I was going to win dammit!

I pumped until 11 mos. I stopped b/c I wasn't making enough for the next day and DD was self weaning from the boob so my supply was dropping.

I pumped until she was about 13 months and could tolerate WCM (dairy gave her reflux/upset tummy until around a year so we took it slow introducing it).

I pumped with LO1 until about 14 months, and then only nursed in the morning and at night. Still pumping with LO2 and he's almost 4 months.

I pumped for 4 months and quit for a combination of reasons. I'd had to quit breastfeeding at about 2 months so I was EPing for 2 months. I was a SAHM and LO had a lot of eating issues. She'd recently been diagnosed with MSPI and reflux and she was also headed into the 4 month regression. Pumping was getting harder to do because I was home alone all the time with her (DH works full time and goes to school at night) and she was needing to be rocked for naps so I couldn't pump when she was sleeping and when she was awake she'd cry if I couldn't tend to her. Plus I wasn't sleeping at night due to the 4 mo regression and her needing to be held half the night and the lack of sleep made my already crappy supply of 18oz/day plummet to 10 oz/day. It just got to the point where I felt like I was killing myself and making myself and my LO miserable for 10 measly ounces per day. Just didn't feel worth the time/effort anymore.

I just stopped!! LO will be 5 months in 4 days, and I started pump weaning at 4 months and it took about 20 days. I do have some mama guilt that maybe I gave up too soon, but it's great to have an extra hour and 40 mins back every day! Finding time to pump was so stressful, especially trying to work around LO's naps and also pumping in the MOTN...

10 months. Got pregnant again at 8 months pp and it absolutely destroyed my supply (went from getting about 16 oz a day to less than 2 oz a day). Luckily I had enough of a freezer stash that we didn't have to buy any formula.

6 months. my supply dropped I finally gave up when I was only producing about 3oz a day for about a month.

I pumped till ~13 because my pumping output suddenly dropped drastically and I was done to 1-2ounce per session. At that point she could start WCM so just didn't seem worth the effort when I was already supplementing lightly with formula as well.
DD2 is 6m and I plan to pump at least a year and continue nursing afterwarda as well.

EP'd for about 13 months with LO1. Still going with LO2 at 9 months and she's EBF. Looking forward to when we can just nurse in the mornings/evenings so I don't have to pump at work!

I EPed for 6 months. I stopped bc I got the flu and my supply tanked....my heart wasn't in it anymore to power pump/take pills/drink teas etc to boost it back up. It was a good "out" for me and we just transitioned to formula full time. I didn't really mind EPing in the end though, and will do it again for this baby!

Looking back it definitely took some effort. I was super happy when I was able to nurse my 2nd. Wasn't sure I'd be able to EP again especially with a toddler to add to the mix. I think my least favorite part was all the parts washing! Which I still dread. Haha!

I pumped until LO was a year old. I stopped at a year because I WOH full-time and didn't want to keep taking pump breaks past that. I pumped for that long because I had a good supply and didn't really have a reason to stop and start paying for formula.

DS is 6 months and 1 week and I'm still EPing with 1 bottle of formula a day (I've never had a great supply). Theoretically I could totally be off formula and exclusively pump for him now that he's on solids and his milk intake is going down, but he's so much more active now and we can actually go do stuff together so I'm looking forward to weaning. I've gone from 4 pumps at 30 minutes a day down to 3 pumps at 22-25 minutes each time and hoping to wean off slowly over the next month or two. I think if we can make it to 8 months that will be great.

I BFed my oldest until `19 months but stopped pumping when she was 9 months old.
I am still BFing my 16-month old, but stopped pumping when I started working at home, which was around 6 months.

Pumped until 1 year but we are still BF when together. I planned to keep pumping but I was getting resentful and I'm switching jobs anyways so didnt want to deal with it in a new office. It's soooo nice to be pump free!

Until DS was 1 and dd is 12.5 months. I'm down to one pump a day!
That being said, I look forward to the day I don't have to pump!
