And how big was your baby? I was chatting about E's birth with a physician's assistant while we were waiting for some lab results to come back yesterday, and she told me it was no wonder I pushed so long since I had a bigger baby.
Did you find a correlation between your LO's birth weight and how long you pushed?
ETA: E was 8'12 and I pushed for over 2 hours.

I pushed over 2 hours and ended up with an C-section. She was 8lbs, 1 oz!

6 lbs 10 oz. Pushed for less than 5 minutes (3 pushes)
I had a med-free birth, which I think can have a big impact on the effectiveness of your pushes. All in all though, my son had been at a -1 station for weeks and all through my labor sitting was painful so I know he was way down in my pelvis.

1st baby - 6 hours and she was 7lbs 9.9 oz

At least an hour...DS was 6 lb 14 oz...I had a med-free birth too. Water broke on my own at 1050p and had him at 154a.

About 30 minutes with both kids; DD was 6 lbs 11 oz and DS was 7 lbs 6 oz.

DD 1: 7 lbs, 15 oz ... 50 mins with epidural
DD 2: 7 lbs, 10 oz ... 2 pushes, no meds
I believe pelvic size, baby size, and baby's position are the biggest factors in determining pushing time. Oh and as you can see in my case, birth order too. Most of my 2nd time + mom friends push their 2nd & 3rd babies in 1-3 pushes!

I was induced. I got an epidural and at 10 pm they came in and said "time to push". I got all excited and thought, great I will have this baby before midnight! After THREE FREAKIN HOURS of pushing with a LAME nurse, I finally said that's it, I'm done until I see a doctor. We knew she was large, so I was afraid I was pushing and she was going to be stuck. The Dr came in and said to let him coach me and try. 20 minutes later and all 9 pounds 7 ounces of her was out!

LO was 7lbs and I pushed for 25 minutes, but I also went from 4 to 10 cm in under an hour, so the whole thing was pretty fast.

It was about 2 hours.
I was super mad about it because I heard from other people that pushing was the easiest part and that it was pretty fast.
I only had 3 hours of labour before pushing so I figured I was about to be done.
So when he STILL wasn't out and it was almost 2 hours of pushing later I was extremely frustrated.
Ended up needed an episiotomy and then he flew out.
Edit: 7 pounds 15 ounces. No meds (too fast).

I pushed for 3 hours and he was 7lbs, 11oz. After 2.5 hours the OB on call came in and told me I had three options- c-section, vacuum or forceps. I chose forceps and after 30 more min of pushing he was finally out. After all was said and done, we believe the reason it took so long was that the cord was around his neck and there were two knots in it preventing him from coming out on his own.

after 3 hours i got a c section with charlie because i wasn't making enough progress. he was big for me (8 lbs 6 oz) and sunny-side up.
i pushed 40 min with olive and she was only 4 lb 15oz, but second baby is easier even if i didn't have a vaginal birth with the first. i'm sure the fact that she was tiny made a big difference!

I pushed for 3.5 hours (it was at the 3 hr mark that they decided that i need forceps, so i had to wait 30 minutes for my doctor to drive over from the other hospital!) and she was 7lbs 8oz. I was pushing long and hard because like @mrs.bee, she was sunny-side up.

I'd be interested to know how long everyone was laboring beforehand, whether they were medicated, and whether they were pushing on their backs. It seems like those would have a big impact on the pushing stage too!

My daughter was 7lbs even and I pushed 10-15mins, although to be fair my last push was assisted with a vacuum because of complications that arose.
ETA: I went med-free and had productive contractions for about 5-6hrs?

I think it was 10-15 minutes for DS 5lb 12oz.
I was induced- started Pitocin at 11am, got epidural around 3-4 pm and he was out just before 6pm.

An hour with my first and two minutes with my second. Wonder Baby was almost a lb bigger so I would vote that size had nothing to do with it, the second baby is just often easier. I think the time you spend pushing has to do with the position of the baby and how tired the mother is.

I pushed for over an hour and a half and then had to get an emergency c-section after all that crap. LO was 8lb 2oz. And apparently really difficult to pull out during the surgery--that fact kind of made me feel a little better. At least something was difficult for them, too.
(He was posterior/sunny side up.)

Oh and TG was 6.14 and I was in labour for 7 hrs before the hour of pushing. I was so tired that they really had to pep talk me to push well (an hour of sleep that night). I pushed squatting and holding onto a bar over the bed, but keep collapsing down between contractions. I tore hard.
WB was 7.8 and I was in labour for 5 hours (2 hous "active labour") and pushed her out in two minutes. I was kneeling in a birthing tub. One tiny stitch.

It was less than an hour and DD weighed 7 lbs 6 oz. I had an epi and couldn't feel a thing. After four pushes, I started using a mirror and three pushes later she came flying out.
Total labour was 14 hours with an epidural for 8 of those hours, and I pushed laying on my back.

@Minnie_Girl: I was in active labor for about 10 hours when I started pushing (and early labor for about 20 hours before that). I was on my back, but the bed was reclined at about a 45 or so degree angle (I couldn't be flat on my back) so I did have some gravity on my side. My epidural stopped working about an hour and a half into pushing. I was also Exhausted. By the time he came out I had been awake for most of 36 hours (which some brief cat naps while the epidural was working).

I dialated from 1 to 7 cm in 5 hours. I got the epi at about 8 pm fully dialated by midnight. Contractions werent getting closer than 3 mins apart so I was given oxytocin to speed it up. It had the reverse effect so contractions got as far as 8 mins apart. Start pushing on my back at 4 am and she was born at 8 am.

@HeatherlovesKenny: I am surprised E was a big baby! In all her pics she looked like a teeny tiny 6 pounder!
I pushed for exactly one hour and baby was posterior and weighed 7 lbs.
ETA: I was induced and had been laboring for 15 hours, and had been in active labor for 5 or 6 hours. I had two failed epidurals.
