I had a full size before and used it until DS was almost 3. I never had a mini one. It's at my parents' house and they still use it for his cousins and will use it for when M comes over.

I have another full one for M and plan on using it for years again.

We have the Bjorn crib and used it when DS was 12 months old. Plan on taking it when we travel when he's 18 months old.

We have a full size graco pnp and still use it for rough nights. Dd is about 19 months old and we are going to be ttc again so hopefully it can live through 2 kids. It does creak if dd stands up and yanks the sides but that was only really an issue during the cruising (in the middle of the night!) stage.

LO slept in it in our room until 6 months. We used it for a few months after that for a safe place for her to play in a pinch. By 10 months she wanted nothing to do with it. Girl likes her freedom! We're traveling next month and we're going to bring it but im not sure if she'll sleep in it or not. She's 14 months.

LO slept right next to us until last week in the pnp. She is now in her room and uses it for playing.

Anything mini I had to replace with a full size eventually
(We had a mini crib & travel sleeper)

DS is 2, almost 2 1/2, and we still use the PnP at my parents' house and beach house. It will probably be our last year with it though.

Have you seen the full size one in person? I considered both the full size and the mini and got the full size. If you haven't seen it I can take a picture of it set up in our bedroom for you!

i thought we would use it until 3, but olive no longer sleeps in her crib so it lasted us just over 2 years for both kids.

We have a full size pack n play downstairs and a mini one upstairs (in our bedroom).

My mom (who watches LO) uses the big one every day. She puts our 14m old in it when she needs to take the dog out for a quick pee or when she needs to rinse a diaper out or something.

We still use the mini one in our room on an almost daily basis. DS goes in there in the mornings for like 20 minutes or so while we get ready and do stuff around the bedroom.

They aren't 100% necessary, but they definitely make our lives easier. Oh, and DS is a BIG boy if it makes any difference to you (he's 28 pounds and almost 3' tall). He fits in both, no problem.
