With Charlie it was a long time. I got it at 2:20am at 8 cm and I started pushing at 1pm the next day. They actually gave me something to slow down the contractions. He ended up being born via c-section at 4:30 after 3 hours of pushing. It was about 10 hours from epidural to pushing with Charlie.
With Olive, I got the epidural at 8pm when I was 3 cm dilated. I started pushing at 1:10am and Olive was born 40 minutes later. It was 5 hours from epidural to pushing with Olive.

DS --30 mins only because we had to wait for my OB to get to the hospital!

I got my epidural in the middle of the night at almost 4am? Slept a couple of hours and started pushing at 10am the next morning. DS was born 12:44pm!

Between 2 and 2.5 hours. I was 9cm already and it didn't work very well.

I don't remem with Q, but with L I got the epidural 4.5 hours before pushing, and pushed for maybe 3 min? It was only 2.5 pushes and she was out.

A while. I got epidural as soon as I reached 3cm, that was maybe like 2pm? Didn't start pushing till 9pm.

It sped my labor up considerably. After 22 hours of being stalled at a 3, I got an epi ... I slept for 3 hours, woke up and was ready to push ! It was a lifesaver

DD2 - 10 minutes?! I arrived at the hospital 40 minutes before she was born and begged for an epidural. They advised me against it but hundred me. It wasn't even really in effect until after DD was here but mentally, it helped me.
DD1 - about 5 hours. I was induced because my water broke the night before but labor stopped by morning, and was required to have an epidural with the induction.
Eta: @freckles: I'd say you did hold out! It can't have been in full effect in 15 minutes - at least that's what I tell myself about DD2's birth!!

It was quick! I was being Induced and didn't start making much progress until I got the epi. I had it for two hours without anything happening, then it two hours I dilated all the way and started pushing. Alice wasn't born for another 4.5 hrs though. Blake ended up a Csection immediately after.

Only 3 hrs. Went from 2cm to 10cm in 3 hrs with the epi. Then pushed for 3 pushes and she was out. Super quick and easy! The epi really helped to relax my body and help the dialating!

I think it was maybe 6 hours on the epidural. I had to wait for the doctor to be available to set one up, so it was like an hour or more wait until I could get one. After that, it was really the rest of the overnight until 8:30am when I delivered LO.

It was fairly quick. It was about 5 minutes after the epi kicked in the doc said I was ready to push. I wonder how dilated I was before the epi.

It was about 10 hours, got the epidural around 11 am (I think) and started pushing around 8:30 pm. Pushed for a little over 2 1/2 hours and went in for emergency C-section. born at 11:14 pm.

6 hours-- I got the epi at 7:30pm after being on pit 12 hrs and still only 4cm. By 12:30 am I was at 10 but midwife had me wait to push so I could labor down. Started pushing around 1:45 and lo was born at 2:20!

I got my epidural around 1pm with my first and was pushing around 4. I was fully dilated when I got it but labored down with it for 3 hours.
With my second I got the epidural at about 3pm and was pushing 15 minutes later.

I got my first epi around 4pm or so on Sunday. It fell out and they didn't notice. I got my second around 6am on Monday. She was born at 9:45am after 30 minutes of pushing.

11-12 hours. Got epidural between 3-4 in the morning and then labor stalled. Pitocin started at 8, and had her at 2:34pm.

About 5 hours. But then I pushed for 3 hours!! Ok actually I think it could have been two hours and 45 mins but I am allowed to round up, right?

It was so fast for me that I never actually got the epidural. I had been asking for it and the anesthesiologist was in a c section so I couldn't get it right away(they told me 20 min). I was in labor for about 2 hours total and asked for it about 1.5 hours in. when the doctor finally came in to give it to me, I was already pushing. I pushed for 18 minutes.

5-6 hrs, maybe? That actually seemed like a really short time compared to the 30 hrs I was in labor before that.

Asked for it at 5 am, got it at 6am, it took effect at 7am, started wearing off at 7:30am, started pushing at 10:00 am, delivered at 12:44 pm, completely wore off by...12:50 pm? ha. No idea. My epidural was one of the worst experiences of my life!

Like, 20 hours! 
I got it around 9pm on a Monday (24 hours after starting pitocin for induction) and I finally was 10cm and ready to push at 5pm on Tuesday. Pushed for 2 hours, Still ended up with a C Section though

30 mins for both LO's.... I guess technically I probably shouldn't have gotten it, the labours were so quick, but I HATE that pain! pushing painlessly is the best thing ever, and didn't slow down pushing. both boys took about 15-20 mins of pushing. we'll see what happens for #3!

A couple hours. I got it when I was a 9, took a couple hours to dilate to a 10....but then pushed for 2.5 hours

Under 2 hours for both. Didn't work very well either time, but not at all past about 30 minutes, the second time, and I felt transitioning from a 6 to a 10cm in 45 minutes, with pitocin, without being able to move around. If I were going to have another baby, I wouldn't even bother with one again.

Well, I never made it to pushing because I needed a c-section in the end due to problems baby was having, but things started progressing so much faster for me once I got my epidural! Despite my best efforts (birthing ball, tub, massage/pressure points, visualization/calming stuff) my body was really fighting the contractions. Before the epidural it took me 19 hours to get to 3.5cm - within 2 hours of the epidural I was at an 8, which is when I needed the c-section.
