Today DS was cranky and it was 2 hours after his last feeding. So I thought he could be hungry and made him a formula bottle (Nutramigen). Then it turns out he wasn't hungry. How long do I have before I need to chuck the formula bottle?

If he hasn't touched it, I would keep it in the fridge for his next feeding. I pre-mixed DD's bottles of Nutramigen for daycare so they would be in the fridge all day.

if he didn't drink it at all, then it should definitely be fine in the fridge until your next feeding and beyond. if he did drink it, i'd usually throw it away.

I agree with PP that you should keep it if he didn't eat any of it. Otherwise, the guidelines is an hour after he starts eating. I've read that the bacteria from baby's mouth can cause the formula to breakdown and potentially make your LO sick.

It can stay the whole day in the fridge if you didnt start feeding him. Otherwise like @Sweet T: you shoudl discard it 1hour after feeding

If he drank some then one hour. If not, I believe, up to 24 hours in the fridge. Check the container. It might tell you.
