I've been having contractions all day about 10 minutes apart. They've been painless, for the most part, but I can feel them. It's been about 4 hours of this.
It feels like my uterus is a balloon that's being inflated from the bottom each time, lol.
How long did this stage last for you? Did you have a time like this, and then have nothing happen again for days? I really would be sad if they just go away, lol. I'm ready to get things going!

@katiew92081: sorry! lol!!! My water broke at 9pm on day 1, by 2pm on day 3 I caved and they put me on Pitocin. DD was born just before midnight!!
Might I suggest some natural induction methods? What worked best for me was walking and nipple stimulation (I was on my pump forever!)

@prettylizy: I've been cleaning my house and walking all day. I've been doing all kinds of natural methods..rrl tea, evening primrose oil, even eggplant parmigana, lol. I'm trying to keep walking/busy, but I'm wearing out! lol

Yeah sorry to be a downer but my early labor lasted about 40. It was rough! It grew in intensity as the hours wore on. I went to the hospital but got turned away at 6am, then went back at 11pm and was admitted. It's hard to gauge because everyone's so different. Hope yours moves swiftly!

I never really had early labor. Both times my contractions started 1 minute long, 2 minutes apart and by the time I got to the hospital, I was 4 cms.
With DS, though, I had four nights of false labor in a row before the real thing started! I thought he was never going to come out.

Mine lasted about 18 hours. My water broke at midnight and I didn't make any real progress until they started me on Pitocin at 6pm that evening. LO was born a few minutes past midnight.

Like @honeybee, I didn't notice my early labor. I noticed my active labor around 7 pm. By 10pm, we were on our way to the hospital. LO was born at 8:30 the next morning.

Seems as if it has subsided a bit. 
I'm trying to keep moving, and I feel VERY sore and achy, but I'm running out of steam to keep moving! lol

37 hours of consistent contractions to get into active labor.... I had quite a few nights of "false labor" too.
Best early labor advice is: Eat something, hydrate, and TAKE A NAP! trying to push early labor along usually just causes more contractions that aren't "effective" and making progress. So you end up worn out and discouraged.... I learned my lesson with my first after 17 hours of walking my butt of (contractions would slow/subside if not walking) and only being TWO centimeters (which is what I had been pre-labor). With P I rested as much as I could until I couldn't anymore!

Never had early labor. At 9:30 pm my first two contractions were 4 minutes apart and each a minute long. This continued without ever slowing down until she was born at 9:30 the next morning!

About 2 days. I started having contractions 10 minutes apart early on a Thursday morning, and more active labor started that Saturday morning.

9 hours...but it took my water breaking for me to realize I was contracting! It might have started earlier, but I was napping and they were not painful.

24 hours till my water broke on its own and then we decided to go in. Contractions became a lot more intense and regular then. I was fully effaced but barely dilated at my last appointment but was 5 or so cm when I went into l&d so early labor did progress things.

No early labor here. My water broke naturally, no contractions until about an hour later. When I got to the hospital I was 4cm and was at 10 2 hours later.
