We got pregnant on our first cycle ntnp but it ended in m/c... after that it took 5 cycles to get pregnant again.

B was a gigantic surprise and this is our first time TTC and I think I have unrealistic expectations.

The 2nd cycle both time. The 1st cycle for A I was pretty sure we missed our chance since I think I O'ed right before our wedding. This time around we were NTNP the first month and then the second month we actually tried.

I haven't been pregnant yet.
I don't really know how to measure this since I'm a bit of a weird case lol... I've been TTC for 10 months (NTNP for 3 months before that) and I have not become pregnant... however I have only ovulated twice in all that time.

DS1 was NTNP (and only 2 months after our wedding), and it only took one cycle with DS2. I had a miscarriage between my two pregnancies.

First cycle with LO and again with this pregnancy. We were NTNP both times...

4th cycle off bcp but really 3rd cycle trying--I was traveling during ovulation in our 3rd cycle so we had zero shot then!

For us it was technically the third cycle, but it was the first cycle we timed perfectly.

It took us 4 but I know we had some timing issues in prior cycles.

2, but I was coming off of BC and my cycles were like, 55 days and up.

The first time it took one cycle. That ended in a mc. LO was conceived the first month we started trying again. We're TTC now, and it has taken a couple of months with no BFP. I feel like maybe the first two times were a fluke and we're going to have to wait a while for our next baby.

@PEAPIE: I think timing is our issue. I guess I'm not very in tune with my body. I've gotten pregnant twice accidentally and our first cycle trying was way off. We didn't use OPKs or anything, I just guessed. And guessed wrong.

Here's my "other": when we first started TTC, I got pg on the 2nd cycle. Lost it. A whole stinkin' year later, finally got pg again. Lost that. Tried for 4 months after that with nothing. Got pg on my first cycle using injectables w/ trigger.

Our first pregnancy it took me 2. With my current pregnancy, it only took 1.

It took us a while....23 cycles to be exact. Literally was going to go to the RE to start IVF and found out we were pregnant. Now I'm 28 weeks!

@littlek: I was temping and doing opks. It just took three cycles of figuring it all out!

9 cycles with help from injections and an IUI...felt like an eternity but since we were blessed with twins, I don't have to ever to through that again!
coconut / 8498 posts
@littlek: We're not temping or doing OPKs either. Neither of us wanted to get that "into" it unless we've gone months (like 6+) without a BFP. It's hard because I want to be in a bit more control of the process, but I also know that I'm prone to really getting my hopes up. And, I know I don't have ultimate control anyway.

Our first month NTNP. I'd been off BCP for over a year so I think that helped.

Took 13 cycles, lost that one, then 5 which was a c/p, and pregnant again on the next cycle.
ETA: Also m/c several years ago but I wouldn't count the years in between we were avoiding!

First time it took 9 cycles (loss), then another 6 (another loss), now we're on the 3rd cycle trying again.

@Weagle: I'm doing OPKs this cycle and I attempted temping but I'm a failure at temping. LOL.

10 for my first BFP that I lost, then 3 more for my second.

1st cycle for me (temping, OPKs, the works). That ended in mc, then we conceived DD two cycles after that.
@spaniellove: How are things? I think of you often and hope everything is going well for you this time.

@Cherrybee: Thank you - we're going back at the end of the week to hopefully hear the heartbeat!

I think I'm on cycle 29. I don't really keep track anymore. We've been trying 2.5 years.

We succeeded on our first try, but I had been tracking my cycles for 2 years at that point and have never been on birth control.
