I'm currently on IUI #2. It's a redo because my last IUI ended before it even got started. My first one didn't work either, although all the numbers were good.

I've gone through two unsuccessful IUIs so far.

One unsuccessful IUI. And now I'm waiting for my period to be able to start #2. Which WILL be successful

3 with femara. 1 abandoned injectable cycle. All unsuccessful. IVF worked on the first go round. We were unexplained.

I did 3 Clomid (50g) IUI cycles. None worked... IVF did. DH had low morphology which didn't make the odds of IUI too great.

I had 3 unsuccessful clomid IUIs before moving on to IVF.

I did one IUI cycle (with 2 IUIs) on 50 mg Clomid. My RE suggested going to IVF after that cycle because DH's post wash numbers were not good enough.

Whelp, I went through 6 IUI cycles and all unsuccessful. 3 with one clinic and unknown diagnosis. Another 3 at a new clinic with PCOS & DOR diagnosis. I'm now on my first IVF cycle.

I know this is a really old thread, but I have the same question - on IUI #3 and could use success stories and/or a reality check... So, BUMP!

I can't remember if I did 3 or 4. Unfortunately they weren't successfull...I was unexplained and ultimately IVF worked and resulted in my twins. Good luck!

For my daughter we did one IUI with Clomid and injectibles and it was successful. To try for our second baby it took two IUI's with Clomid and injectibles. 32 weeks with number 2.

We did one unsuccessful iui with Clomid and then got pregnant with clomid, trigger and Timed intercourse.

@YogiRunner: For my husband and I, 3rd time was the charm! We conceived our 1st son after 2 failed clomid/IUI cycles and 1 successful injectible/IUI cycle. Our second son was conceived after 2 injectible/IUI cycles. Best of luck to you! I remember feeling worried about going into round 3, but then - baboom - we got pregnant! I do think the change in protocol had a lot to do with it.

I'm interested in the responses here. We're dealing with MFI and my RE has said her protocol is to do at least one IUI before moving on to IVF, but to me, the odds of success just seem too low to be worth it.

3rd for us. We had unexplained IE. First two IUIs were with Clomid, 3rd was with Femara/Letrozole.
Positive thinking, right?
