For WOHMs, what did you find optimal (or wish you had gotten) as far as collection bottles, spare flanges, etc when you returned to work? I will likely need to pump at home before I leave for work in the mornings and won't have the time/desire to wash those parts before I go, so I need at least one spare set -- but should I get another for good measure? I kind of like the idea of having one set always at home and two sets for the office in case I don't get to wash them one night or something. But maybe that's overkill?

I have like 3 sets and to me that's the perfect number.

I have two sets of parts and it works perfectly! I use one set at work (store the parts in the fridge between sessions) and then have a clean one at night. I probably could get by with just one set but it's nice to have the spare. I have extra bottles that fit the parts too (the medela ones).
My tip would be to keep a manual pump at work as well - I have forgotten my pump a couple of times and I was so relieved to have that as my back-up!

@dojo: I'll actually have a second pump for awhile -- my insurance wouldn't buy me a double electric but will rent me a hospital-grade pump for 6 months. So I can just leave it in my office and only have to worry about bringing parts and bottles. Knowing myself, I kind of want to have a spare set of parts in the office just in case...but in an emergency, there is a Target a couple blocks away!
