As a teacher, I can say that my favorite gifts are always written genuine thank you notes/cards from parents or students. I know not this might not be popular, but I do not provide gifts to either of my sons' teachers or daycare workers.

50$ giftcard to his two main teachers and a gift basket for the director/front office

A gift of about $25 to each teacher. He has 2.

I'm doing $100 for DD's main teacher.
50 for her elective teachers/assistant (there are 3 of them)
25 for the receptionist
they usually collect 25 from each family and buy each teacher something, so I'll contribute to that as well.
so we'll spend a total of $300 this year.

$35 for 3 DCP teacher
$25 for 1st grade teacher (plus I contributed to a pool)

$5 each for 7 after school teachers - $35

so $165

Two teachers for DD1 and $25 each.

A card about how much we appreciate them and how much he has blossomed this semester, donations to the snack supply, and a book for the classroom.

As a teacher I appreciate the cards with genuine words and brownies, you can never go wrong with brownies

I'll probably do $30 Target giftcards for each teacher (6 total), chip in for a class gift and help provide lunch/snacks for Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday before Christmas. Both of my boys have 12 kids in their daycare classes.

I'm not sure exactly how much but I'm figuring up to $150. Dd has 3 teachers: a lead, associate, and aide/assistant teacher, plus an art teacher and another that helps them with transitions and where needed. I figure max $30 per head? I know we are doing contributions to collective gift cards this coming week though.

I put together little bags of mugs with their initial, tea, and warm fuzzy socks. I'll probably add a Starbucks gift card or a candle too. So probably $40 x3 teachers.

One kid in school, with a third grade teacher and a g&t teacher...Probably about $20 each.

My DD sitter I plan to gift her a weeks worth on top of our normal week!
So instead of $125 I plan that week before Christmas to give her $250

Probably just a plate of cookies and some cards. I might do Starbucks gift cards for his morning teacher and her assistant. But I barely know the afternoon teacher or the assistants (even though I pick him up every day).

$20 gift card for each teacher in his room x 3 so $60. I also make cookies.

For DS two preschool teachers we were asked to contribute $20 for a combined gift that will be given from all of the families. I will also give them GC's to Starbucks or a local coffee place and a nice thank you card. For our nanny we do a cash gift of her weeky salary.
