We need to buy DD a twin mattress and I have actually never bought a mattress before! Can I order one on Amazon that has good reviews or do I really need to go to a mattress/furniture store?
How much did you pay for your LO's twin mattress and where did you get it from?

We got a full rather than a twin. We got it from a local mattress store and for the mattress and box we spent probably just under $400. We didn't go with the cheapest one available, but one notch up. I anticipate having to replace it in 5-7 years.

We got ours at BJ's. It was a twin for $100. Its comfy and does the job.

IKEA also has reasonably priced mattresses.
Our twin came with our bed because it is slightly narrower than a normal twin and needed a custom size.

I got it from Sleepys. I looked online, picked a brand I recognized and chose the firmness. Easy and they delivered it at no cost and they threw in a bed frame that I ended up nt needing.

We just bought one from Ikea: their hardest (cheapest) mattress along with their best topper. We really like the combo, plus it's super easy to change the sheets.
