We LOVE our pack and play. It has the changing table that we use all the time and she sleeps in it in our room. It will be a sad day in our house when she outgrows it.

In re: to the question about putting her down for naps and sleeps in two different spots, I think she'll do just fine. M used to nap in his cradle in his room during the day and sleep in his bassinet in our room at night. We moved him out of our room at 2.5 weeks though because he was such a loud sleeper, as most babies are.

I used a Rock N Play as a bassinet in our room for the first few months. We had a PNP, too, but LO wouldn't sleep in it and it was too cumbersome to travel with. Waste of money for us!

We don't use our pack n play too often, but enough that I'm glad we got it. We use it for travel when we're not going to a hotel that has one and our family member doesn't have one if we're staying with family. We used it for a while outside the kitchen so I could get stuff done around the house, but that didn't last as long as I hoped.

@jedeve: That's just like the one we have, I really like it. I didn't want to have to deal with finding a place to store bulky accessories like the newborn napper or changing station, so we didn't get them. We just used the bassinet feature and it folds up and fits into a nice carrying bag for travel.

And I love it. Having the little bassinet was amazing. We got so much use out of it in our LOs early weeks. Great for naps and we always had a place for her to lie around the house/if we were out visiting. We've even used the bassinet for days at the beach because it has the canopy to keep the sun off her. It was great to have bedside too because in the middle of the night she was right there and so was a change table, supplies etc. We travel a lot too so having the PnP was important.

Well worth it for us!

@LAGS: omg, that is quite the pack and play!!! Ours is so boring....$50 from Costco. lol

We are not getting one. We live in a 1250 sq ft apt so when LO is napping, he can go in his bassinet or his crib. I don't really see the need for one unless you have multiple floors. I also don't anticipate spending the night at our parents' houses very much, as we live 30 minutes from each of them, so they'll probably just come to use to see LO.

We planned to have her sleep in it in our room, but she hated it. I think it got used all of twice. She slept in her bouncer in our room for the first 2 weeks and then she was in her crib after that. I didnt like her in our room and i think we all sleep better in our personal space.
