DD was 1 month old when close friends watched her. She was indifferent.

DS was 2 weeks old when close friends watched him. He too was indifferent.

LO will be starting daycare around 14 weeks old, so probably then, if not sooner.

A friend from work watched LO for 90 minutes when I had my first post-partum checkup at 6 weeks. At that age, LO didn't care who was around as long as he got fed and burped and held
LO is very used to- and ok with- hanging out with other people, so he is totally unfazed by new folks. He might fuss if a total stranger babysitter tried to put him down to bed at night instead of someone he knew, but other than that, as long as he's the center of attention, he's cool with it.

We have no family nearby, so we have a sitter we have been using since LO was 6 months old. DH and I do date night at least once a month.

Haven't done it yet. Hey do go into the church nursery but I don't know if that counts as baby sitting. We have family near by so it just makes sense to use them as baby sitters.

LO was just a few days shy of his first birthday when we left him with a babysitter. He did fine! Went down fine and stayed asleep. We had our daycare teacher's younger sister (senior in high school) watch him. We'll probably use her again this month. I'm itching to go see a movie =D

A month old? So it was fine!

I think it's a good idea to get your LO used to a new sitter. Some exposure here and there will make things easier for when she goes to school since you say she is pretty attached to you.
