Lala started Spanish at 2 years, and M started at 18 months. (Part of their curriculum at school)

We are already a bilingual household of English/French. DS started a bilingual German/English preschool at 2 years. Now at almost 3, I am wowed by how much German he understands, while I still don't know much at all.

We're a bit away from formal language school. We're a bilingual family and my son learns Spanish in daycare...I didn't know that he knows his colors in Spanish, English and German.

@plantains: she's just in a bilingual classroom, so it's not like she's doing a lot with it yet

Chinese daycare/school starts accepting kids at 18 months. I'm thinking of enrolling DS at that time, but we'll see when that time comes.

My kids are/will be bilingual and we'll start Korean school on the weekends maybe when they're 4.

    Mandarin classes at 18 months.

They also do languages every day at Montessori. She started there at 3. They've really gotten her interested in languages, because it's an international school so the majority of the kids are already bilingual.

We tried mandarin when my DD turned 5 but it was a bust (too advanced). We will try again next semester at a school where they have classes for non-speakers ..
