A week or so before her first birthday. She was tested for a whole panel, including eggs, dairy, tree nuts... it was a skin prick/scrape. LO made a face but didn't cry. It wasn't a big deal and it was great to know she had no allergies!
She was dairy intolerant for her first year so we were testing for a real allergy.

I took LO at eight or nine months after she had mild reactions to avocado and the egg yolk - the first two food I gave her. The allergist said we could test but regardless of the results she was going to give LO a delayed introduction timeline for the Big 8 allergens. She's 17 months now and still hasn't been tested.
For egg she said we could try a baked good at 12 months and scrambled at 15. The baked good turned out fine but she reacted to scrambled eggs the second time we offered them.

We had a blood test done when DS1 was a year old. He is allergic to dairy, eggs, and peanuts. A year later we had a skin prick test done to confirm his allergies and also added dust mites to the list.
I wanted an allergy test done for DS2 early on but the doctor suggested to wait until later since the tests may not be accurate, especially in babies under 6 months. He is almost 9 months old, and we had two really bad allergic reactions this week (one that resulted in an ER visit last night). We will be scheduling him to see an allergist soon and have a blood test done.

We called the pediatrician and will be making an appointment with an allergist on Monday. Poor kiddo.

6 months. She had a really bad rash, and we couldn't figure out why after her ped said that we should just monitor it. Turned out to be an egg white allergy. We think she will
grow out of it.

@swedishfish: LO had an allergic reaction to wheat, which resulted in him breaking out in hives and swelling up. Even after taking an antihistamine, his condition worsened. At the ER he was given an oral steroid and by morning he was back to normal.
Best of luck with your appointment with the allergist. Hope you can find some answers.
