Haha, what cracks me up about reading this thread is that I will soon be the age that some of you will be when your kids are 18 and i will have a child that's less than 10!

@looch: I feel ya. I'm definitely old! Oddly I distinctly remember the party when my mom turned 40. And here I am, I was pregnant with child 2 at that age.

DD1 turns 18 on my 47th birthday. She'll turn 21 the year I turn 50 - I hope she's talking to me again my that age and we can do something soecial to celebrate (like take a girls' trip).

@looch: haha, my husband was as "omg old" when our LO was born as some of these at-18 ages. Ah, perspectives on what is "old"; the ever changing landscape

I'll be 45, and my husband will turn 48 a week after she turns 18.

@mrbee: I was a little shocked when I did the math haha. I guess because my parents started having kids when they were 19 so I feel super old having my first at 28.
I'll be 46 when our baby is 18 and DH will be 50.

@MamaG: Lol I hear yah! I remember helping throw my mom her surprise 40th birthday party!

This is too much math!
DD will be 2 at the end of the year. I'll be 32 at the end of the year as well. So 16 years later she'll be 18. 32+16=48

43. DH will be 48... But we'll be 48 and 53 when DD turns 18, and we don't know if we're done yet. So the real question is, how old will we be when the hypothetical youngest is 18?

39! And if we don't have anymore kids I'll be 41 when my youngest is 18. Some days I'm looking forward to it haha.

Hubs and I are 16 days apart. We'll be 46 when the oldest turns 18 and 49 when the youngest turns 18. I'm quite good with that. We had a good amount of time in our 20s to enjoy and be free and build some financial security before we had kids, and we'll have them both off to college before we turn 50, so we'll still be active and young enough to enjoy our empty nest years (and still have time to build our nest egg back up between college years and retirement age).
