She'll be a little over 5.5

DS1 will be 5 years 9 months and DS2 will turn 5 a few weeks before school starts. They will only be one grade apart in school.

DD will be 5 years 3 months.

They will all be 5 but LO1 & 3 will turn 6 within a couple weeks of the start of school. LO2 will have turned 5 a few months earlier and most parents hold back for summer birthdays so he'll be one of the youngest.

DD 5yrs 8 months turns 6 in Dec
DS will be 5 yrs 10 months bday in Oct

DS1 will be 5.4

DS2 will be 5.9

All three of mine will have just turned 5 and be the youngest.

DD1 will have just turned 5 a month before (late summer bday). We have a friend whose daughter is a year and a month older than her who will be in the same year as her because they are holding her for an extra year of preK.

DD2 will be 5 years 9 months (Dec. bday).

@Mrs. Goose: around here, "Kindergarten" is generally the year before they start first grade (but is not mandatory, kids just must be in school by the year they are 6, I think.) Generally preK is the year before they start kindergarten, age 4 (ish), and preschool is the year or more before that (age 3 ish, more or less). Not everywhere has universal preK and many people opt to keep their kids in private preK or full time day care.

My son will be on the "old" scale here in NY as kids can start at 4, he'll be 5yr 8months. I'm a teacher and there's a lot of research claiming it's better to start Kindergarten for boys when they're a little older.... Seems counterintuitive but their chances of success are better

I have Oct and Nov kids, so they will be just shy of age 6. We have Jr K in our city though, so they will start that the year before if we don't end up moving.

DS will either be 4yr10m or 5yr10m. Right now He is set up to be an older 4 when he is starting kindergarten, but we still have 1.5 years to decide.

He is an October baby, so almost 6. However, we are scheduled to move that summer to who knows where (military), so I don't know what will happen with kindergarten.

My second is due in a few weeks, but again, we don't know where we will be living and when the cut off dates will be.

He will be 5.5.

@Foodnerd81: interesting, very similar. I'm excited for kindergarten because I. Can't wait for the extra socialization and stimulation for her. I stay at home with her and another toddler very close in age.

My son will be 4.5. My daughter will be 4 yrs 3 months.

Full time public JK starts the year they turn 4

Dd1 will be a week shy of 5
Dd2 will be a month shy of 5

Dd - 5.75 although she can start TK at 4.75

Ds - will have just turned 5. He makes the cutoff by a few weeks.

She'll be 5.5

DS2: a couple weeks shy of 6

She will probably turn 5 two days before she starts.
