I have two large bags of frozen breast milk (~700oz) in our deep freezer chest. We're moving out of our house next week, staying with friends for 2 weeks till we close on our new home, then move into our new home.
Everything will go into storage until we move into our next home (furniture, bed, clothing, etc.). What do I do about my frozen milk stash??? They won't fit into a regular freezer, plus we won't have a freezer to use since we're staying with other people.

That's tough! Depending how they are stored, you might be able to put them in smaller bundles and store them at a friend's house. Or is there a small ice chest you could rent for a month and plug in in somebody's garage?

@MaisyMay: They're currently bundled into quart size bags and two quart size bags go into a gallon size bag.

@Alivoo01: Is this milk all still good? I don't know what you can do but move into other people's freezers, but then it won't be fresh as long as it would be in a deep freezer.

Does the storage facility have units with electricity? I don't think it's too uncommon to be able to get a unit with an outlet?

Any chance you are on some sort of local breastfeeding mom group and can post there if someone can lend you deep freezer space for two weeks?

We recently moved and I was going to empty my chest freezer and put all my frozen goods into coolers with dry ice, but I didn't have time, so I asked the movers if they could move the whole chest freezer with things in it and they did. It's a small chest freezer so it wasn't that heavy to move.
Yeah, I would ask your storage unit if they power outlets.
If you don't have any power in your storage unit, you could put your stash in a cooler and get a few lbs of dry ice to keep it cold. It should keep it cold for a few days before you have to get more dry ice. Oh, I would leave the cooler out in the garage. You definitely don't want to keep it in an enclosed area. Dry Ice is frozen carbon dioxide so you don't want to be expose to the gas. http://www.dryiceinfo.com/
