@Peasinapod: does she have a rough schedule when not teething? It might help to start with one time of day (lunchtime?) or try to stretch the times between feeds? I day weaned my LO at 13 months but she had been on bottles at daycare.

Things that helped were having lots of distraction (let's go play) and other food. I usually nursed her in the glider in her room so I made sure to avoid that.

Maybe you could focus on day weaning first and keep the morning and evening feeds at first? Good luck!

I agree with @MrsSRS that you should pick one or two nursing sessions you want to keep, and nursing is off limits any other time. For us, the last session was in the morning and we nursed in my bed. That was the only time and place we nursed and I told her no the rest of the time. We had some tantrums but we just had to do lots of distractions. My LO was older too so she did understand that we traded nursing for a special cup of juice, snuggle and song. Not sure if you even will need that with a 12 month old - you could just hardcore distract.

@Peasinapod: So maybe try to stretch out the time between nursing sessions as a first step if you don't want to immediately go to morning/night only? Like maybe if she eats at 7, no more milk until 11 and get out and do something fun, offers snacks and water and see how that goes? It might be a way to step it down gradually. Good luck!
