I reserved a spot for Baby #2 for infant daycare for Fall 2013. I thought I was early but there are several people on the list already. The director told me some of the babies haven't been conceived yet!

@Alivoo01: Yeah! She told me that a lot of teachers try to plan their pregnancies so they deliver in May/June/July and they reserve daycare for September in advance!

Yay, congrats!! We're doing daycare tours this Friday, but I already know a couple of the daycares I was interested in are full or have long waiting lists, which totally blows.

Good for you! We still haven't chosen a place or even toured more than a couple. I'm 5 months along, I'm starting to get nervous. The one place that my friend uses that she really likes said they have a waiting list until May/June 2013. I go back to work in May so that makes me REALLY nervous.

Good for you! I wish I had done that earlier. I was scrambling to find care toward the end of my pregnancy and found that many daycares had waitlists miles long. Good infant care is hard to find!

Wow you can reserve a spot before the baby is conceived? I wasnt aware of that lol When i was looking at daycares they all were telling me how important it was to book early but I didnt want to be rushed and I waited until LO as about 8 weeks old before I paid a deposit. Luckily they still had some spots open

That's crazy! When I went back to work after DD 1, I got a new job with a daycare within my new workplace. I put her on the list as soon as I got hired. They didn't have a spot for her til 4 years later! haha, by that time I already had her in a preschool, I had another baby and was a SAHM.

I've had a daycare spot reserved for DD since about 3 weeks after I got my BFP... which was 1 year and 7 months before she starts daycare. Spots fill up so fast in the good daycares you have to make sure you have a reserved spot early.

I signed LO up for day care in February 2012 (I got my BFP in early May 2012) for a spot in January 2014. We were on the waiting list until about a month ago. It's so crazy here.
