@bluestriped bee: I know the feeling. My YOUNGER sister is now pregnant with her third. I am of course happy for them, but have a serious case of the why-me's.

UPDATE: I have a date! FET scheduled for next Wednesday 1/8 at 1pm. That was the date I figured out in my head so no huge surprise, but it feels good to have it down in the books at the RE office. I start oil injections and crinone suppositories tomorrow.
I've never looked forward to a Wednesday so much!

@SweetiePie: and @Happygal: I appreciate the reassurances about the shots. I know I need to put on my big girl panties and just not think about it. It will be worth it in the end! @Happygal good luck to you today! And @SweetiePie: Yay for scheduling your FET!

@FaithFertility: oh goodness, 14 eggs! That must have been a frustrating experience, having the IUI canceled. I hope this one goes better!

@bluestriped bee: I know sooo many people whose younger siblings have had no problem getting pregnant, my own included. Sucks, I know.

Thanks everyone! I love this group. I'm happy to report the IUI went well! I felt zero pain. It feels like I should be doing something really positive to get this to work out, like zen yoga or drinking power smoothies, but I'm just drinking a decaf coffee and catching up on HB.

Funny moment--after the IUI, my husband went over to read aloud an article from a woman's magazine that was on the wall. They were quoting one of my REs, and he said that after insemination, he has patients lay with their hips up. I was flat as a board, so my husband quickly came over and helped me to spin around on the examining table so my legs were up in the air. It was nice to have comedic relief along with all the other emotions I was experiencing.

@bhbee: was your CD 3 check today? How are you holding up with this weather?

@Sweetiepie: yeah for a set date! What are oil injections? I may test on 13 dpo, but not earlier! So yes, probably on the 16th or 17th.

@bluestriped bee: I demand a picture of Paulie! I love cocker spaniel's ears--so soft. How is he getting along with your other dog?

@Happygal: Great!!! It sounds like you were both in good spirits, which can only help Jan 16th/17th marked on the calendar
Oil injections = progesterone in sesame oil (it comes that way in the vial). Why sesame oil? No clue. At this point I'm over looking things up and just doing what they tell me to do. They could tell me to inject heroine into my eyeballs at this point and I'd do it (Love Actually, anyone?)

    I've missed you ladies!!

No "fun" celebrations as I've done in the past. DH and I just hung out on the couch and toasted with champagne at midnight, then went right to bed lol!

I tried to eat some superstitious foods, but I don't like kraut and didn't have the energy for black eyed peas, so I went with cabbage, close enough in my book.

A sad/happy update. I've ovulated twice on my own since starting acu, but they've been super late in my cycle, 40+. The last cycle, the egg and sperm actually met and I had a positive HPT, but a week later I started bleeding. So, right now I'm in the should I do more medicated cycles or continue on the holistic road since it's clear my body is responding to that?

@Happygal: Ok, since you demanded a picture! haha!

My first dog, Hershey, is okay with him. They are not aggressive, which is good. She does get annoyed when Paulie tries to hump her. She immediately sits her butt down and growls at him. Paulie is only 3 years old and Hershey is 7 years old. We joke that Paulie must like cougars. Haha.

These pics were taken before Christmas. I need to take some recent ones.

    @LovelyPlum: @bluestriped bee: @SweetiePie: Thanks

My instincts are telling me to keep going without the drugs. I've not felt this happy, and emotionally stable for a very long time and I don't want to mess with that mojo, but sometimes I let the idea that I'm running out of time scare me back into using meds.

@Happygal: glad you made it in for the IUI and fx!! I also made it in for my CD3 . . . luckily got the go ahead to start the clomid. I would have been super mad if I walked through the cold and snow and had a cyst or something!

Hey there! We spent New Year's with a couple families we're close with. It was fun! But 2 of my friends are preggo and another is trying for #3 (& has gotten pregnant pretty quick with her other 2)... I was a little sad but mostly ok.

I had another acupuncture treatment today which was super relaxing. I go for an ultrasound with my Gyn next week, so I'll be glad to move forward and get some answers. Hopefully I can start Clomid for our next cycle!

    Happy New Year ladies!!!

    Hi all, Happy New Year!

IUI #2 didn't work, so we decided to take a month off to enjoy the holidays and have a break from all the monitoring appointments, meds and stress.

We got some good news right before Christmas that DH's testosterone levels nearly doubled last month since he started taking clomid. We made a follow-up appt with our RE for Monday to discuss trying another IUI vs. going to IVF. I don't know that I'm ready for IVF yet, so am hoping the clomid will do the trick in terms of increasing DH's motility and morphology. In the meantime, he's started a ton of vitamins (zinc, coq-10, etc) and we're also looking into acupuncture. So while not much going on in terms of procedures, lots of other things.

I've had a bit of the New Year blues, but leave in a week for a girls trip to the Caribbean (another reason to take a month off!), so hoping that will be a nice break.

Sorry for the long post - I've missed you! XO

@TheReelDeal: I would go with your gut! That's great that acupuncture is working for you. Maybe you can set a plan, like, "we'll try this for 3 more cycle, then consider drugs again." (This comes from a woman who loves having a plan!)

@bluestriped bee: great pictures. That's hilarious that he's trying to get away with the humping. Dogs make me laugh

@Mrs. Polish: boo for cramps. How are you feeling otherwise?

@SunshineMcC: that is good news! Are you both still on Clomid? Was the coq-10 recommended by your RE? I've read goo things about it.

@sweetiepie: how are the injections going for you?

Have any of you experienced brown tinged CM post IUI or around ovulation? I still have EWCM and it was a little brown this morning. I'm not concerned--just curious b/c I've never had that before.
