@Happygal: My RE would always tell me that a little bleeding or brown spotting after would be normal.....I never had it, but I a sure it is just fine

I had a lot of EWCM around the time of my IUI, that is a good thing, your timing hopefully was perfect!!!!

@Shutterbug: Glad to hear I am doing well waiting on AF I stopped provera yesterday so I m hoping she is right around the corner so we can get this show on the road!

@Happygal: I had spotting for days after my last IUI. I think I have a pretty sensitive cervix, although I did not spot from the endometrin (progesterone) which they told me could also happen for the same reason.

@TheReelDeal: If you have a pull towards continuing with the path you are on now then you should do that. Maybe set a timeline for when you will go back to see the RE.

    @bluestriped bee: Cute pups!

@SunshineMcC: Sorry that your IUI didn't work but I'm glad that your DH's numbers have improved. Have fun on your girls trip!

It is rainy and cold here today. We were supposed to take my dog to meet the new dog sitter, but we cancelled due to the weather. It's feeling very Sunday-y here--football on, doing laundry, preparing to go back to teach after a long break away.

    How is everyone else doing?

    eggplant / 11408 posts

@Happygal: it's Sunday-y here, too! We're chilling out, made French toast after church, watched the first football game, and now DH and the dog are napping while I HB. It's nice

@Happygal: forgot your a teacher too.......I go back tomorrow too, but it is a PD day so a nice slow start back no kiddos yet!!!

hope everyone is doing ok with the weather today! my mom is getting horrible cold and snow in Michigan and in Boston here it's 62 and raining.

I've been feeling really down since starting the clomid for this cycle (thankfully tomorrow is my last one). I think it's really messing with my hormones/emotions . . . anyone else have that? I don't remember it being this bad when we did clomid for #1. I feel like I've been soo touchy and standoffish with DH and he doesn't know what to do, but I don't know what to tell him either except that I may need some space. watching Downton gave me a couple therapeutic cries though

I've been in hot flash city too. all day and all night. definitely worse than last cycle, anyone have it build up over time? same dosage as last cycle.

I have a CD11 ultrasound on Saturday and I'm hoping to see things on the right track for IUI by mid next week. maybe the increased symptoms mean I'll be able to trigger a day or so sooner?

    hope everyone is staying warm!

@bhbee: I did feel more emotional on Clomid, and know others have had a horrible time with it. Femara didn't do any of that for me, so if this cycle isn't the one (but I hope that it is!), you can keep that in mind for next time. Do you take it right before bed? I heard that can help with side effects like hot flashes.

I'm sorry, but when you wrote that your husband doesn't know what to do, I had a little laugh. I know my husband has felt perplexed about the mood swings some of these drugs have brought on.

It rained ALL day yesterday and today is windy and cold. I'm such a cold weather wimp. The good thing is that it makes me really look forward to spring!

@bhbee: Ohhhh clomid....lol yes I get all the said above!!!!

I get hotflashes so bad DH has woken me up at night and says he can feel the heat of me and sweat....sexy right. .....lol

I'm VERY bad at checking the boards and posting here, but I DO want to join the supportive IF group here!

Any fun new year celebrations? Well, we visited my sister and her new baby for the New Year and DH and I were both in bed by 11pm using our tablets. How romantic, right? It was good to spend time with family, but nothing too exciting.

Do you eat the superstitious foods? (Black eyed peas, pork and kraut) No eating superstitious foods. I never heard of it! I think in many Hispanic countries they have 12 grapes to represent each month of the year, but we haven't done that yet.

    Updates?
In terms of our fertility stuff, we continue to TTC naturally without luck. We've hit our 3 year anniversary of TTC which isn't so fun. But we sure are grateful for Little P!
We DID get Mr. P's most recent blood work back that says his testosterone has continued to improve, so that's good! Although his testosterone was the best in July and 3 months later in October his SA was the worst ever (since you have to wait 3 months for the sperm to form to see if the SA improves). So, we just wait a few more months and get another SA, but we're not too hopeful. (Although isn't it amazing that you still ALWAYS get your hopes up at least a bit?)

@bhbee: Sorry to hear that the Clomid is causing you trouble!

@Mrs. Pinata: Welcome! I am so glad that you have decided to join our group, I always appreciate your perspective on the blog

@mrswin: Awww... thanks! Mostly I just get too overwhelmed with all the posts on the boards, so I then give up seeing if there's anything I should contribute. But, I need to check for IF posts and threads! It's so helpful to be a part of a group that understands what it's like.

A quick update from my monitoring appointment this morning. I have 2 follicles on my right side and 1 on my left 16mm-17mm but the doctor commented she would like to see my lining a little thicker but hopes that by the time my IUI happens it will have thickened up. I am supposed to do an OPK tomorrow and phone the results into the nurse line tomorrow and go back for monitoring on Thursday. I am thinking my IUI will probably be Friday or Saturday

@mrswin: Oh, good luck! That's great about the follicles and I'll be hoping your lining thickens up!

@mrswin: sounds like a great update! I'm sure your lining will thicken up in the next few days. Good luck!

@Mrs. Pinata: hi! Glad you're here I loved your post on the blog today!

  18. Happygal

    pomelo / 5000 posts

@mrswin: good luck! Will you trigger, or just rely on the OPK? I remember my lining being at 6 something, and when I went in two days later, it was around 8ish. So there's definitely time to get it to a good place!

@Mrs. Pinata: welcome! Is your husband doing anything in particular to boost his SA results?

  19. Mrs. Pinata

    blogger / pear / 1563 posts

@Happygal: Yes! His prolactin and DHEA-S were high so the Dr. has had him on various meds for about 5 months to try to get those hormones lower and the testosterone higher. Thankfully the hormones are better now, but his SA back in the fall was the worst ever, despite better hormones. Ugh.

I'm just trying to finish out my work today so that I can focus entirely on the transfer and resting tomorrow! Husband and I are going to get a nice dinner and one final glass of red wine (hopefully my last for 9 months!)
This day is dragging and work-wise pretty crappy. I just want it to be tomorrow!

@FaithFertility: I'm always one to jump the gun so if I got full flow at 5pm I would count it. if super light to start I might count the next day. I don't think it makes a huge difference.

and YAY for AF when you want it to come! such a relief to see CD1!
