For me I would change the amount of screen time they get. My girls are at an in home so they are around the TV more than kids in a center. It's not a deal breaker because my kids (and I) LOVE our lady so much, but if i didn't it might cause me to consider other places. What is your complaint?

The cost - wish it was cheaper!

Teacher turnover. We love the center, the director, the enrichment programs, and honestly the large majority of teachers we've had really have been awesome but I wish turnover was less frequent.

The transitions to different rooms. When they're younger, it's every six months and can lead to a rough week or two while she gets settled.

The playground. I HATE that it's sand. He comes every day with sand in his shoes and it gets everywhere.

I want them to get more digital and use that app system and send me pictures! And to provide food!

I really wish they had a sick room with a doctor or nurse on staff so I didn't have to come get him every time he has a slight fever. Seriously I get a call at least once a week in the winter and he is home more than 50% of the time!

Digital pics! One of the center teachers does this for DS (we take flash drive back and forth), but regularly emailed pics of both kids would be nice (they print out lots of photos on regular paper for all families).
Overall we are happy with the curriculum enrichment activities, teachers, turnover, cost, meals, etc.

@Modern Daisy: My MIL and her sister run a daycare center and they actually DO have a separately staffed sick room (they try to be competitive by letting slightly sick kids come and stay in the sick room) but it sort of miserable for everyone because inevitably everyone gets sick. Its sort of this death cycle because parents will always drop off a sick kid since they assume they will go into the sick room, but its not like some biohazard chamber, so in the winter everyone is just constantly sick (including my MIL and the other teachers!)

The food. They feed more sugar than I would/do. But we still love our daycare.
@lulu mom I went to an in home daycare where the owner would watch soaps during the day. Looking back I am appalled since I feel they should be watching the kids. I would not be ok if my daycare provider for DD (also in home) had a tv on.

I wish they would include food in the cost of tuition, which is $$$ in my opinion.
If I could pick one more thing, I'd also want them to be open later and close less frequently for holidays.

DS is at an in home daycare. I wish they did more arts and crafts type things. I know she has a huge age range (6 months to 4 years old), but even some coloring once in a while would be nice.

I wish I knew more about what LO does during the day since LO doesn't tell me. I should probably ask more questions. Other than that it's great!

Cost I guess but that's not realistic! But other than that, I have no complaints! We love our daycare. Even for the infants they provide food, they do great activities, no TV.
