How does that work?

I'm currently pregnant with LO#2. I work a demanding job and so does DH. I've basically been told that if I want to advance my career I need to put in more face time (ugh). The only option I want to consider right now is getting to work earlier. Working later will mess with our night time routine too much.

Right now DH leaves for work at 6:45 and I solo with DS every morning. It always takes me longer to get out of the house than I like, and that's with one child. I'm imagining with two, it's going to be exponentially longer.

It would be really helpful to have someone help or completely take over getting 2 kids ready. I'd also love for someone to be able to take on some kid related stuff, like bottle washing and the kids laundry.

Obviously that stuff doesn't take all day, so I'm trying to figure out how this would work. Do I have them just completely take over and take both to daycare (right around the corner) and come back and do house stuff for another hour or 2? That would free me up to leave probably 1-1.5 hours earlier for work than I currently can. Or I guess I could have them just get the kids ready and I could continue to drop off on my way to work.

Our other option is to have a nanny 2 days a week. We'd do daycare the other 3 days. I'd WFH one day so I can put in longer hours without the commute, and DH would take over mornings one day a week as well. This is the better option in terms of money, but obviously less convenient than having someone every day.
