I almost had to get a transfusion because I lost a lot of blood during my csection. I had it on a Tuesday and my milk was coming in by Thursday night. This was my second delivery even though our first was a loss and my milk came in in two days that first time, so I was expecting my body to do the same thing again.

Yaaaay, congrats on your twins!!
I lost so much blood during my c-section that I passed out on the table!! I had to have a transfusion and it took several weeks before I had any energy again.
It wasn't until the morning of Day 5 (babies were born at 11:00 pm Sat night and milk came in Thurs morning). We had to straight supplement for the first 36 hours they were born bc I had to have a magnesium sulfate IV due to pre-e.
Now, all that being said, I was able to go on to EBF my twins and we'll be hitting the one-year mark in a few weeks so no matter what happens, don't lose hope! I wasn't able to drop the formula until the babies were about 8 weeks old.
Here's what I did: I rented a Medela Symphony (hospital grade) pump and pumped after the first 3 feeds of the day, per my LCs recommendation. So this was usually at 6am, 9am and 12pm, approximately. Don't be discouraged if you don't get much milk at first, your body's supply takes a few days to catch up to increased demand. I also went on a daily regimen of oatmeal, wheat beer, fenugreek, blessed thistle and mothers milk tea plus drank a TON of water.
At this stage, they are so small that only a few ccs will satisfy them! If you're getting some colostrum, that's good and your milk will come in very soon! We also used an SNS system with formula to help the babies learn to nurse and nipple shields.
You can totally do this, just keep pumping and nursing as much as you can stand it!!

I lost a lot of blood...just barely missed having to get a transfusion, and my milk came in within 24 hours. Hopefully yours comes in soon!!

I didn't hemorrhage or anything like that but I did have to get a shot in my thigh after she was born because I was losing blood. My milk came in the day we went home from the hospital (day 2). I did a ton of skin to skin at the hospital, so I highly recommend that. I didn't sleep much, but to me it was worth it. I really think it made a big difference. Good luck!!

My son was born on a Saturday morning, and my milk came in Monday afternoon. I had a transfusion Saturday mid-day. He had some banked donor milk at the hospital due to a bit of jaundice.

@twodoghouse: it's FINE to supplement if you're worried and it's fine to just keep nursing them, although it is harder when you have two to care for! We would have them nurse, then give them an oz or two of formula (and mine were big babies with minimal jaundice issues so I'm sure if they were smaller or fighting jaundice, we would've done anything to get them full and happy!).
How much did they weigh, anyways??
Just a heads up, you know this but the next few weeks will be very, very intense. It gets better tho, I promise!

Took 5 days for my milk to come in. I'm not sure I lost an abnormal amount of blood, I didn't need a transfusion or anything but my DH said it was a TON of blood.... of course he could have just been traumatized

6 days after my csection with bleeding issues. 9 days after my csection without blood issues...I had intense pain management issues instead.

Waiting for milk was so stressful for me. Big hugs.

@twodoghouse: Congratulations!!!! I did not lose a ton of blood, but my milk started coming in on day 2 and by day 3 I was completely engorged. My nurse said that the frenzied feeding was a sign that my milk would be coming in soon, so I hope the same goes for you!

Congrats!!! I had an uncomplicated c-section and my milk was in in 2.5 days. DD had a 12% weight loss, we ended up supplementing just 3oz of formula using an SNS and my milk arrived shortly after. Formula is not the devil. We were able to be EBF until past a year.

Congratulations! I just wanted to tell you to not feel bad about supplementing if you need to. I had colostrum but my milk didn't come in for a week. On day 4 he was so hungry he was screaming whenever he was awake and he started to show signs of dehydration. We supplemented with formula after BFing, and I supplemented a lot during the first growth spurts because we had thrush and it was too painful to nurse constantly for hours. But we've been EBF for months now :). I know it's different with twins, but don't feel like your ability to breastfeed is doomed because you need to supplement :).
