Husband's aunt, she's a SAHM of a 16yo and 20yo. Whenever LO is over they give her all their attention, plus she lives ten minutes away and is usually home (: MIL is a SAHM but is hardly ever home, my sister would be my first choice but she works full time, and my parents are awesome but live 25 minutes away

I would be up a creek, because my mom and sister are 5 or 6 hours away!
I could probably call our nanny though.

I don't have kids yet but assuming I did, and it was for just a few hours, I have 3 friends in the area I could call. If it was overnight I'd prob run up to my parents house (2 hrs away, but I don't think I'd want to inconvenience friends overnight).

I have no idea, we have no family in Canada at all. I would probably ask one of her little friends' mamas as she knows them from playdates.

MIL!! She's almost never given advance notice when she watches SIL's kids so she's definitely used to it!

MIL but only if it was an emergency. They have a super busy social calendar we need to find a back up emergency one.

LO isn't here until March, but no idea! our family is 3 hours away. If it was an actual emergency I'm sure I'd have a few friends who wouldn't mind.
My neighbour asks people last minute ALL THE TIME for non emergencies and it's really turned me off asking other people. She always posts on FB too "can anyone watch L from 8-10 tonight?!" ...like what if some freak says they can?

We have no family nearby but i have a few friends that I would trust to babysit. I also have a couple of babysitters I pay so I might even call them first!

I guess our nanny! A few months ago the answer would have been.. No one!

My MIL or my BFF. My mum would watch her if I was there (say if I wanted to clean the house or take a bath) but she wouldn't have her alone yet. We also have a list of friends who have offered but I wouldn't feel right asking them - perhaps in an emergency!

@travelgirl1: I'll be your back up if you'll be mine.
I'm realizing I don't know who I'd call. Maybe one of DH's sisters, but the all travel a lot and have tons going on.

If it's an hour, no one, one of us would stay home. If it's for tomorrow, my mom. No one else is close enough to help. Mom is 3 hours away.
