Do you take bottle stands with you to work? I am back at work now and have been debating whether I should buy an extra pair. I have the medela sonata pump which is a bit top heavy and I keep thinking the bottles will tip over. But on the other hand I wonder if I really need it. I wonder if I should carry my stands from home with me each day or buy another set since I have two sets of pumping parts.

I never had any problems with the bottles tipping once they had liquid in them. As little as an ounce was enough to stabilize them.

I bought medela to avent bottle adapters and pumped into the 9 oz glass bottles (I only pumped one side at a time though so didn't have to worry about all the weight hanging off of a hands free bra). They were heavy enough that I never had any tipping problems.

@kiddosc: Good point its usually when they are empty that they are the most likely to tip.

@Mrsbells: I love them! I could put them on the bottle jets in my dishwasher on sanitize steam clean, and didn't have to worry about the discolored cloudy look plastic gets.

I've pumped at work for over 2 years with 3 kids and never knew about these or needed them.
