When did they start having a reasonable bedtime? We'd done loads of stuff with Little P (2.5 months) as she has been a pretty fussy and colicky baby. The worst time of day has historically been from about 8pm-midnight (often starting earlier or later.)
She's usually pretty good during the day and naps and eats pretty well (although she needs A LOT of soothing to get to sleep and a hat covering her eyes, but that's enough for another post). But, once that evening hits, she won't let us set her down for anything even though she's clearly tired.
So, after her evening feed (usually between 7 & 8) when Little P would have gone down for the night, Mr. P sits and rocks her until she goes down for the night around 11pm. He will even do a dream feed in there to get one more feed in her. If he tries to put her down she screams, but she will sleep if he's holding and rocking her (thank goodness for this awesome man who does this so I can clean up the house and go to bed at a reasonable hour before MOTN feedings!).
Anyway, we're hoping this restlessness is something she will grow out of since Mr. P and I are kind of desperate to actually spend time together! And for her own benefit of good sleep habits, etc. etc.
If you had a baby that wouldn't sleep well in this time of day when did your child grow out of it?
I hope it's not a forever thing!
