when does said family find time to go on appointments and things?
MIL has offered to watch LO 2 days a week once I find a job (he is in daycare 3 days). This will probably be temporary until we can get him a full time spot.
This made me wonder, what if she has a doctor's appointment or something? They are her only days off work. Just curious what others do

My MIL watched DD for 12 months and when she needed a day off either DH or I had to work from home that day!

I take off of work when my mom has an appointment or she schedules it when DH or I are off.

I freelance from home so I am pretty flexible, so I can pinch-hit if my mom needs off. I am thinking I need to have some back-up sitters lined up in the event I can't be free & my mom can't watch her.

I have an alternating weekday off. So she makes her plans around those days

My mum watched N while I worked full time. If she had an appointment or had things to do she took him along. We live with my parents while our home is being gutted and overhauled, so our set up is different then most.
