Yes! It took 2 years just to move her into the other room. I wonder how long it will take to get in the other room.

Sometimes... P is in our room set up next to our bed though (side car). Some nights I just lay her down & leave, others I nurse her till drowsy, & some I pat her after nursing until she's asleep.

Nope, I set her down, say goodnight and I'm out of there!

Occasionally we will fall asleep on the floor next to him during a rough night. We try to let him sleep in his room by himself most of the time.

Nope. We read a book and then rock for a few minutes. Then he goes in his crib and I turn on his turtle and walk out. Tonight he didn't even want to rock! He wiggled out of my lap, went over to his crib and tried to climb in.
Eta: once he is in a bed this could change. I dont know how we will handle him getting out of bed on his own!

Nope, we go through our routine, and I'll say, "ok mommy sleep in mommy's bed now", then she'll say, "stay a lil' bit"... and I say, "Ok, just a lil' bit"... stay a few minutes more, then leave after I tell her I love her.

We did from 10-12 months- it took over an hour each time (misery!), from 13-17 months we just set him in his crib and he passed out on his own, now 18 months I have to sit with him for 30 minutes or less.

One of us has to sit in the rocker in her room until she falls asleep, otherwise she'll stand at the corner of her crib closest to the door crying for us.

No. We read books and sing in our bed and then we take him to his bed, give him his blankies and bear and say goodnight and leave.

Yes, absolutely! I mostly love that time of day. I lie down next to him and rub his back (after a few books).
wonderful pear / 26210 posts
Yes, and honestly it is a matter of him either sleeping in his bed our our bed.
wonderful clementine / 24134 posts
Yes because I was never able to stick to letting her CIO. She knows if we are in there, we aren't playing, she is laying down and closing her eyes. She is usually asleep in 4-5 minutes.
GOLD / wonderful grape / 20289 posts
No. I don't think shed fall asleep if I were in there.
