H has started sleeping 6-8 hours at night and by the time she wakes up, I'm engorged. Should I be pumping in the middle of the night? Will my supply drop if I don't?
She's 2 months old, fwiw.
I hate pumping so much! It would suck to have to wake up to pump!

Your supply will adjust to what she is drinking - she likely will make up for it by drinking more at other sittings. I wouldn't get up to pump unless you want to build a supply.

my supply dropped so now i pump before bed, the dropping of supply was not due to DD STTN

Nope, I never pumped. The first few times it happened, I would wake up in pain, so I would hand express into the sink in our bathroom until I felt comfortable. Your supply will adjust! The only reason I would pump is if you're trying to build a stash or increase your supply.

I don't wake up, but I do wear those Avent nipple shells because they gently press on you through the night which helps stop you getting engorged and you can save the milk they collect. Sleep + milk to save - win win!

During the time when my LO slept through the night. I didnt pump at night I just fed her more often during the day

If you are trying to build up a supply, I'd pump. If not, enjoy the rest!

Nope, didn't bother and my body adjusted pretty soon after. Then when she turned 4 months, we went through a slep regression and she started waking up more frequently again about every couple of hours, so I was nursing more at night again and the supply just picked up where we left off. The human body is incredible!

I thought about it. But sleep was more valuable to me. I still wake up engorged in the mornings so I was still able to build up a stash from that.

Your body will adjust to it, unless you want a stockpile I wouldn't worry about pumping at night.

I'd only do it if you want a freezer stash. Otherwise enjoy the sleep!

I pumped right before bed, and maybe in the middle of the night for the first month our two. The second I could stop pumping in the middle of the night, I did! No supply problems when I did stop.

I'm glad you asked this because I was in this situation last night. I ended up pumping because my boobs hurt so bad I couldn't get back to sleep!
