Did they also end up having a soy allergy?
Dd2's dr recommended a soy based formula but indicated she might also be allergic to soy too.

I believe 50% of babies with dairy intolerance also have a soy intolerance. My daughter had both (in addition to some others). I opted to eliminate both from my diet because I didn't want to waste four weeks only eliminating dairy and then if it didn't work not know if it was because she didn't have a dairy allergy, or if it was because she also had a soy allergy.

Not sure if this will help - Xander was allergic to milk, but we didn't discover it until he was 8 months old. He was not allergic to soy.

My LO had a dairy intolerance, but then they also recommended to just eliminate soy from my diet (I was breastfeeding) to be on the safe side. I was just going to do dairy at first and see if that helped, but then I figured I might as well do both as she was miserable. Now that she is older, she is fine with both dairy and soy, so hard to say which one was the problem.

Yep, both, with both LOs. LO2 cannot even tolerate soy lecithin. Lucky me!

Yes. Eliminated dairy at 3 weeks and symptoms improved by about 80 percent. Eliminated soy by 5 or 6 weeks and we were back at 100.

Not sure because I immediately eliminated both. But I did add soy back in after a while with no issue. I continued to eliminate dairy until I weaned

Yes, and gluten too.
There was no improvement when we removed just dairy, noticeable improvement when I removed soy, but a HUGE improvement when I removed wheat protein.

Yup, intolerances to dairy and soy. By 10 months, he was able to tolerate both just fine in my diet.
