@bluestriped bee: Aw!! Congrats on your babies! Been checking here for updates. No shame in the c section (I had one under much less perilous circumstances). You made the decision to get your babies here safely! Congrats!!

@bluestriped bee: That's great that the nurses are being so accommodating about getting you down to the NICU and yay for getting some colostrum. You're awesome!

@bluestriped bee: I recovered SO FAST from my first c section from walking back and forth to see my little guy. Try pushing a wheelchair when you feel ready. then if you need it you can always sit down. the walking will help. also, I love their names!

Congrats and love their names! If they haven't already, ask the nurses for a belly band. It holds everything together and makes it so much easier to move around!!

Congrats! Adorable names. Also, I agree with @Mrs. Lion regarding recovery. Walking to & from the NICU helped a lot. And pushing a wheelchair was the way I did it the first few times. I hope you have a speedy recovery!

Also agree re: getting up and walking ASAP, my recovery was a breeze! I was up and walking before the 24 hour mark. If you're up to it, definitely give it a shot!

@bluestriped bee: I hope you get to hold Lana soon. It sounds like you made the right decision for delivery. I'm sure the PPROM played a big factor in your situations. But they are here safely! Congratulations again!

(Unsolicited. Feel free to ignore, of course!)
The most helpful thing when I was pumping drops for my PPROM preemie was to make pumping "me time" as weird as that sounds. Relaxed mamas have better luck, so I would hook up and sit with a snack and watch a show on my tablet with ear buds and just ignore the world and everything for 20 minutes. I really believe that's what made pumping so manageable in the NICU for us. Congrats!!!
