I ate Chinese when I was laboring at home, and it was a mistake...I got a bad case of the vomits the whole rest of my labor and delivery (but I think that would have happened even if I hadn't eaten.)

Once I was admitted and they started the IV they wouldn't let me eat anything. They told me I could have gatorade but once I asked for it later on they told me I couldn't. During my childbirth class they also promised me I could have Rita's water ice during labor, but they lied about that too. Lame.

i was starving and didnt eat for 36 hours. I was only allowed ice chips!

They let me eat whatever I wanted - though I didn't feel like much. I'd totally eat if you're hungry - though my OB's advice was to stick to low fat things that were easier to digest.

I ate pb&j, & some boiled eggs when my bp elevated some.... I should've eaten more protein in early labor for sure (noted for next time).

I was starving but all the food smells made me feel awful. So I didn't get to eat. Once I had DS I was SO hungry(!!), all the would offer me was crackers and juice. I did finally get a sandwich once I was on the family unit. I hadn't eaten all day due to the fact that I woke up in labor and spent the rest of the day in the hospital. I was admitted around noon and had him at 10:49pm. It sounds like such a long day but it flew by....

I was starving! I had an unplanned induction due to high blood pressure and only had a light lunch. I was planning on a snack after my dr appt, but I had to go to the hospital for monitoring. The nurse did let me eat a small bagel the next morning but I was so hungry at night that I couldn't sleep!
