So I always read these lovely accounts of BFing in which the mothers discuss how much they loved when their babies would gently stroke their faces or chests while nursing.
And then there's my child. This was the aftermath of a nursing session earlier today:

It actually doesn't hurt that much. I didn't even realize until I looked in the mirror awhile after feeding her and saw all the scratches!

Ouch! This would have been us for sure had LO not put up that same fight at 4 months.

Ouch! My LO went through a phase when she would scratch me all over my chest. Thankfully it passed w/out any lasting scars!

Right there with you, mama! I had scratches on my face this morning. Such a good look for my 9am meeting.

Mine went through this phase. I cut his nails every other day now. And stopped nursing him immediately when he started to scratch. For him it was just a phase though. Now he just pats.

It's mostly my own fault. She's obsessed with my necklace, so she spends a lot of time grabbing it and scratching me in the process...yet I continue to wear it.
