So earlier today I had a laparoscopic surgery. It was for diagnosing my chronic pelvic pain - my doc and I were 95% sure I had Endometriosis.
Quick run-down of my story: I've been having irregularity and pain for the past 2 years. Initially we thought PCOS, so I've had two u/s for that. The last one they said they didn't think I still have PCOS (poly cystic ovarian syndrome) and that it was Endo. So I scheduled a surgery with my Dr to confirm so we knew what to do from here.
Surgery went well, but I'm now referring to my ladyparts as the "Triple Whammy." I have Endometriosis (most of which they removed and/or burned off), I have PCOS (that they couldn't see using the u/s) and I had scar tissue (unknown). I'll find out more in my Post-Op. Luckily she doesn't think it will affect my fertility *too* much. She said it will most likely take a bit longer for us to conceive, but it in no way is impossible!
So has anyone had to have this surgery or are you scheduled for one? Have PCOS or Endo? I'm shocked that I'm this coherent, but it has been almost 12 hours and my anesthesia wore off a few hours ago. Now I'm just in manageable/tolerable pain, though I can't move around very easily.
We did clomid, hcg, and insemination. DH has low numbers, so getting me ovulating and releasing an egg was only half the battle! It was actually when we "took a break" from meds that we got pregnant! I think the stress and everything worked against us, and I have heard of a couple other people that stop the clomid for a month or 2 and get pregnant! It can mess with your CM, which will stop or slow the sperm. I think the continuous use of it got me to ovulate a couple times on my own!
