I'm prepping to begin feeding my LO solids and have been contemplating buying either the beaba baby cook or the baby brezza. But I'm wondering how much use I'll get out of it and if it really is more convenient than steaming and pureeing separately.
Did you find that these gadgets were worth purchasing?

The steaming and pureeing together is convenient but I wouldn't buy one. They make such small portions (unless that is OK with you) that it took a long time to make large batches for freezing, which we did. And my daughter ate purees for such a short period of time that it wasn't worth it (someone bought it off my registry, though). With #2, I am planning on doing baby led weaning so I won't be making very many purees anyway.

I used it extensively but for only a brief time since LO didn't stay on purées long at all. It was handy to have the steam and purée in one place. I would try to borrow one to try or buy one used if you want one. I loaned mine out between having DD and DS for another mom to try and she didn't really like it.

We don't have one, but it's been ridiculously easy to make baby food without it. You could just use a mini food processor, Magic Bullet, potato masher, fork...

Thanks for your input! I think I will either borrow one or just suck it up and steam and puree separately. Sounds like the period of time during which they are useful is short.

I didn't get one and I'm glad. LO only at purees for a couple of months. I used what I already had in the house, a good old fashioned steamer and my magic bullet or blender depending on how much I was making.
