I've been trying to decide between buying an armchair or a rocker for breastfeeding in the nursery. What did you all use, and are you happy with your choices?

I have a reclining armchair glider (made by Little Castle). I've logged a TON of hours in it. I love it!

My mom both said "you don't need a rocker" and "I will buy you a rocker" LOL. so... I don't know yet!

we had a glider and loved it. I would suggest you get something high enough to rest your head and a foot stool or a pouf.

Thanks! Okay, stupid question but do gliders just 'glide' back and forth as opposed to 'rock'?

rocker sounds like less work than a glider - how does it actually glide?

My glider moves in a rocking motion. Same motion and effort as an old fashioned rocking chair.

We have a beautiful rocker. I love it.

We have a small house, so we are doubling up our Lazy Boy as a nursing chair... of course in the past week that we have had him, I've been more comfortable on an old futon couch that we have instead.

I also have a Little Castle Recliner/Glider and love it though I didn't use it for breastfeeding as much I used it for soothing my baby to sleep. We love that chair though and it will be kept for a long time to come.

My glider moves side to side as well as rocks back to front. I think maybe that is why it is called a glider vs rocker?
