My left boob has a hard lump about the size of my palm.. And it's sore..

Probably. I had one and the ladies on here had such good advice on getting rid of it. I finally released it in the shower with compression (pushing towards the nipple) and gently scraping the nipple with my fingernail to dislodge the tiny blockage. Milk came shooting out like a water gun!

It definitely could be!! Either nurse nurse nurse or pump pump pump and try massaging! Good luck!

Oh and for nursing start with that side a lot instead of switching.

Sounds like it to me - hot showers will be your friend... I also heated up wheat packs and stuffed them in my bra.

Sounds like it. When I get them, I just get a very sore area of my breast. Nursing, massaging and a hot compress (try running a clean diaper under hot water - it holds the heat very well) will help! Nursing is the key for me. Try to nurse so LO's chin is pointing towards the sore area.

Sounds like it. They suck!! Hot compress before you nurse, massage it while nursing, nurse that side first..
How are you just now getting one when BF for how long??

Sounds like it...try to empty it as best you can, often. I used warm compress and massage and that helped too.

@Smurfette: lol. luck? I always massage my boobs while I'm nursing so maybe that's helped.. DS had a weird latch last night before bed and I think that's what might have caused it.

I used to get them when. Went too long without feeding or pumping. Glad lo helped!
